DARKINS ARE NOT CHAMPIONS, BUT WEAPONS/ANIMALS

Let me first start out with all the people that have Darkin with them. The first is Aatrox with his sword and imagine his sword is what keeps him alive and have mystical powers. The second is Jax with his old weapon and that is why in his lore he is unbeaten with his old weapon. The third is Swain with his bird and this is backed up by his last two skins with huge bird spirits behind him with his lore having a broken leg while charging into battle. The fourth is Ashe with that bow of her and the people calling it a legendary weapon and it calling it to her with the hawk leading it to the weapon. The fifth is a champ but have another theory to it and it is Nocturne but he could be the person who took control of Zed and gave him the shadows that he uses.

First:it was said that Ashes bow is made of true ice,which explains its powers already(Also its weird that you think ashe might be darkin related,but not varus).

Secondly it was said that there are 5 darkin,not that there are 5 in the game. The sole fact that the developers considered making Jhin a darkin means that there can't be 5 in the game already.

Middlemean56 you want to explain to us how you got to these conclusions about Darkin. Because on the surface it seems like you did little to no research or foward thinking about what you've said. Don't get me wrong we all make crazy theories that are great for nerdy debates, it's just your post seems more like an illogical statment then anything. If you elaborate then others might not be as harsh.

I have another theory. The darkin are people, but lost their form centuries ago. Aatrox is a darkin as we all know. Jax is a darkin, but his face is scarred, so he hides it. Brand is a darkin, as he lost his body, and seached for a host to control. Nautilus is another one, a darkin spirit trapped at sea made him what he is.

Jax is never confirmed or in any way hinted to be a Darkin. The only reason people think this is because of an oddly shaped shadow coming from his lantern.

Swain, even though not 100% human, may only have some bird-demon powers. The bird spirits behind him in his splashes are the form he takes on when using his ultimate.

Ashe's bow is the weapon of her ancestor Avarosa. The Watchers made it from True Ice.

Zed learned the Shadow Techique after opening a box he found in his Dojos basement. Nocturne is a nightmare who took form, by the power of the Nexus on the Fields of Justice. Due to the lore-retcon this isn't canon anymore, but still, Nocturnes powers don't include shadows, as Zeds does. He simply inflicts fear and pain.

Varus Kalista both are named like a weapon? For example Kalista is named the spear of vengeance and varus is named the arrow of retribution
