Galio and when Noxus invaded.

Hey summoners and Teemo mainsTeemo ,

I don't know about you, but I'm a huge fan of league's lore.

So I had this thought what if Galio had a role in ending the war between Noxus and Ionia. Seeing that the Colossus can probably dive-bomb any war in Valoran, he could have turned the tides in the deciding battle against the Noxians.

I love the depth of stories and lore, to be honest world/character creation is my favorite hobbie. So I like to think about these type of things, this idea just poped into my head a second ago and thought I'd share the idea here.

Thanks to everybody reading this, let's get the dive-bombing hulk of marble to be a gleaming light in the eyes of Ionians all over Runeterra.

Sincerely** Eldolin** (the Top lane noob).

Unfortunately, this would require Demacia to actually give a shit about places that aren't Demacia.

Why would Galio have visited Ionia? Demacia and Ionia are on opposite sides of the continent.

Hundreds, potentially thousands of miles apart, fighting a war that Demacia has no stakes in at all.

Yeah. Galio's probably not even heard of Ionia.

Great to have your opinion Sharjo, I hope to become as interested in the lore of league as you are. You could say you've got a fan in me. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

I get what you are saying, just thought it'll be cool. Some champs get lore updates when they are updated.

What's even more interesting is to hear someone else's opinion of Demacia, now I am even more curious of the relations between the capital cities. I know there's info about this but a more detailed description/info-graphic could be of use.

It would be cool, although I doubt Galio is capable of dive-bombing a battle that far away. Interestingly, if Galio did visit Ionia, the natural magic permeating that land would likely mean he'd be awake permanently. He'd probably never come back.

There isn't all that much information about Demacia to use in our theory-crafting, but hopefully that changes in the next few weeks. Lore event incoming! What we know so far is that Demacia is very isolationist. Their fertile lands mean they are not reliant on trade with other nations, and they have a long history of being attacked by Noxus. Hence, Demacia as a nation keeps to itself, and would be immensely unlikely to take a side in war that doesn't threaten them directly. Also, Demacian may not even have heard of Ionia, and the Noxian invasion. Outside of Piltover/Zaun, technology is still rather medieval, so news only travels by word of mouth.

Galio mentions that he has never left Demacia,so yeah there is literally no chance for him to be the savior of a different country.

The new Galio is an entirely different entity to the previous one. There is still very little known about him, it could be that he is solely made of the protection of Demacia or his new lore could reveal something entirely different. That's actually something I wanted to accomplish with his post: Getting other people thinking about Galio's role in Valoran, so I can hear their opinions.

Uhm the thing is that this is something that the new Galio says, not the old one....

Listen to his VO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mD85UfB8tYk

"I wonder what lies beyond this land" at 7:15 "I haven't been to many places..." at 9:35

And most importantly: "I love Demacia! It's the only place I've been" at 9:58

Considering that he only gets activated when mages attack Demacia, Its almost impossible. Demacians cant just simply move a giant statue to Ionia and expect that the statue will become alive and help the ionians.

Unfortunately there are no revealed cases of mages attacking Demacia, maybe it will be added to his new lore. I didn't give it much thought when I made the post, I just assumed if Demacia were alied to Ionia, they would "unfreeze" him, and he would be able to make a Hero's Entrance from Demacia to Ionia.

He cant do that if he is in his "sleep mode", and he only awakes if something magical attacks Demacia.

Corrected it. Thanks.
