So... about the 4 "dead" Champions

Ok, so not long ago, was released, and four champions we know and love have been made "beautiful". Their splash art is still the way they are, as in, dead. So, lore wise, are , , and dead? Will there be any info to this story? I mean, was briefly killed off before we figured out he didn't die. But in the lore of League of Legends, are these 4 dead? Kill by the infamous ? Or is it all just for promotion? Because I doubt it's the latter since their profile still has that "deadeye" splash art.
