Was yasuo created or inspired to be created by the character nanashi from "sword of the stranger"?

Narasimha2 votesTo my recollection, his inspiration was the famous "Miyamoto Mushashi". There are generally multiple sources of inspiration for a champion, but I believe this one was his core.
On a side note, Project: Yasuo is Raiden from Metal Gear Solid.
A Superb Villain1 votesHigh Noon is pretty much any "man with no name" drifter from any western film, which were in turn inspired by Akira Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai"
So that skin is all sorts of recursive referencing.
