I think there's an inconsistency lore-wise between the Sylas lore's escape vs the splash/promo's one

Does anyone notice how the splash and story of Sylas don't add up? In his lore (https://universe.leagueoflegends.com/en_US/story/champion/sylas), Sylas did his plan to escape, stolde lux's ult and rekted everyone in the vicinity (except lux) whilst at THE GALLOWS, right? It worked out and all bla bla bla BUT in the promo video and champion splash, we see that he absorbed lux's blasted through the cell door, escaped and locked her in HIS OLD CELL. The splash has a girl in the background who has white(ish) hair and is reaching out to escape. She looks like lux and furthermore on sylas' palm he has lux's magic?????? rito pls.
