whose lore is the saddest in lol
For me it has to be renekton just because deep down he was a loving brother who would sacrifice himself for nasus and in the end he becomes a monster who has forgotten who he truly was.
Or amumu.

Oh man, yeah, Renekton's new lore is pretty damn sad. He would probably be the saddest one for me.
Other than him, Xerath, Aurelion Sol, Viktor, Maokai and maybe Yorick are all pretty sad or tragic figures.
Sion's is pretty sad. Instead of going down in history as a glorious hero who saved his nation, he's brought back as some unholy abomination and made into a war machine that makes Noxian citizens begin to question their own rewards for their service.
Sion's resurrection was the beginning of Noxus's fall from glory, glory that they should have ascended with the death of Jarvan the 1st.
's lore(her lifetime) is saddest ever,No one can exceed her.

have sad lore too.
I thought it was
because "Here's to you, kid."
pretty sure
got shunned from Yordle Society because of how strange she acts.
Eh, Amumu just acts like a teenager; Yeah life sucks, we all have problems, get over yourself and quit crying.
has a pretty tragic story
poor Viktor
lost his family and is in a strange new world, and is like 4 in yordle years
lost his daughter ;*( fuck malza
I guess was betrayed, but she took it a bit far
Lux was pretty much betrayed by her own family
has a tragic falling from grace
lost his honor because of something he didn't do
had to battle to the death in a noxian arena because they're cruel. Oh wait, in this case
has some pretty sad lore.
was tortured and stuff and it broke him apart
lost her father and had to avenge him because of anti-human dragons
That's a starting list of some sad lores.
Amumu is a pretty obvious one. His story makes a lot of people so sad!
I know a lot of people say Lucian, but man pain via the wife/girlfriend deaths are so overplayed, and I can't really take it seriously anymore. Although it is a sad story, it just isn't that original, especially in the fantasy genre.
A similar story involving a dead wife that always made me sad was for Soraka though.
She was once an immortal celestial being who gave up her immortality to help save her friend Warwick, only to be betrayed by him with a dagger to the ribs. She learned that the whole dead wife thing was fake and he was lying to her the whole time. Now Soraka no longer has a home, and the stars have abandoned her because she used her power for harm, but she tries to make the best of it.
Kalista's story is quite tragic as well. She was a loyal and accomplished general, and after all her effort she was betrayed by the mad King she served and her ambitious friend Hecarim. She watched her warriors get slaughtered just before she died. Then vengeance consumed her and she can no longer remember her former self. She continues to move further and further away from her old self. Her spirit is not at rest, and instead seeks out traitors. I think that makes Kalista's story one of most depressing.
Lucian, Yasuo, Azir for me.
Something tells me the rewrite of
is gonna be really sad. I mean, poor, really short yordle boy (who likely gets picked on for his size) who just wanted to fulfill his dreams of being a mailman gets kidnapped for little to no reason by the Noxus army and imprisoned. He is likely tortured there and it is likely that most of his co-workers (friends) died after being kidnapped since it is implied he was completely alone within the prison. Then he goes insane and ends up blasting his way out and betraying the one nation he could call home, yet deep down he probably knows good well that what he is doing is wrong. However, insanity takes over yordles easily so he can't stop himself.
TL;DR Veigar is a tiny yordle boy picked on for his size that has the simple dream of being a delivery boy to travel Valoran. Instead he is imprisoned, tortured, and has probably the closest thing he has to friends killed. He then goes insane and does terrible things due to going insane, yet knows what he is doing is wrong deep down most likely, but he can't stop himself due to the simple nature of his species with isolation.
Amumu kind of has the effect for me to where it's supposed to be sad so you kind of don't get sad because it was written specifically to be sad you know? Like they want you to be sad, but writing the saddest story ever (Amumu) just makes it so sad that it isn't.
For me its gotta be
poor bastard never asked to be a mindless zombie
is up there for me, his life work was stolen and taken credit for, turning him to evolve to feel no emotion.
imo, was a runt of the litter, was bullied "he returned home bruised and bloodied with an earful about how he was an embarrassment to "enlightened" yordles like Heimerdinger." he just wants to prove yordles can be as good as anyone.
and
is either too oblivious, or is just an ass....
in for the Drama [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

Urgot's would be pretty sad if he didn't enjoy it so much.
Maokai's is pretty damn sad when you think about it. An eternal being brought into existence against his own will, and one who can't even end said existence if he wanted too. His quotes says it all, really, as they all lament his existence in one way or another.
: Too late, friend. Too late, brother. Far too late for us all.
[zombie-nunu-tears]
Has some seriously tragic lore. Born of forbidden love, and hated by both human kind and dragon kind for it. Because of this she had to fight everywhere she went with her father, it forged her into a powerful warrior, but growing up she never knew peace. One day her father is killed by another dragon who felt disgust at Shyvana's existence, and she see's her father's body and his murderer. Now alone she set out on a quest for vengeance, to find the dragon who killed her father, and put him in the earth. In her lore it states she only joined Jarvan because after getting revenge she had nowhere else to go. QQ
Nautilus, betrayed and abandoned, literally walking all the way back to shore in the sunless depths... How many years would it take to actually do that? He was on a mission of exploration so he must have been quite far from land, if he even was walking in the right direction.
If you think about it, nautilus' betrayal could easily have happened hundreds of years ago.
Amumu Mao'kai Nautilius
or Veigar what those scumbag Noxians did to him was awful
