It seems like a really strange thing to add to a splash when it's not part of the original design or the VU design that everyone embraced so quickly?
I'm totally okay with her being a mouse eared smurf, Riot- but an actual mouse is going too far.
It also makes me deeply concerned for what you have in mind for Poppy's upcoming VU
A Superb Villain7 votesIt was stated that all yordles are furry, but males more so while females have a very fine, very thin, layer of fur that is nearly indiscernible. Think of them in terms of peacocks and peahens; males are more flashy and flamboyant while females are not.

Actually, they do, but its really hard to tell... you can notice it on the Ears of Lulu
DwarvenGiant4 votesLulu and Poppy are a little old and both are up for a VU (with Poppy getting hers this year). Both Ququroon and IronStylus said that Lulu could use an update for her visuals since the standards for female yordles have changed over the years, even for Lulu.

Tristana's original VU concept was A-Okay by me, and if you go back and look at it, she didn't have any hair on her face at all.

DwarvenGiant1 votesI think that all yordles- male or female- have fur to some degree. I think that the norm is that female yordles, while not "full furry", are supposed to have fur like Tristana does (at least in her splash art).
There may also be different types/species of yordles. I mean, have you seen the Blue side's shopkeeper? She's a lot more of a furry than Tristana. She (the shopkeeper) even looks more animalistic (Perhaps it's the nose and the rougher hair on her ears).

DwarvenGiant1 votesYeah. I think that Rin has a tail though, which yordles don't usually have, if I'm not wrong. But in general, I agree, and even Riot Knockwurst (Kienan Lafferty of the KNKL show), who loves yordles, drew Rin and thanked her for showing them how yordles should look like.

Lost R1 votesOriginally Tristana was supposed to be part of another race called the Meglings who coexisted alongside Yordles. Over time (read: almost immediately) the Megling idea was dropped and it was an unofficial-only-acknowledged-recently decision to make all male yordles furred and the females furless with blue skin (except for Lulu who may have used magic to turn her skin and hair purple) and white hair.
It's also really hard to tell in the splash if that fur is actually part of her face and not part of her volume of white hair that's just tinted slightly blue.
