PBE 10/7 - Splash Art da Demon Vi e Novas Splash Arts para Skins Antigas - LOL NEWS

It seems odd to me that Vi which in caps is the number 6 going three times down her leg. 666 is a real world religious symbol significant to satanists, luciferians, gnostics, kaballists , and christians. I thought the game had its own mythos. Are we going to incorporate other real world religious symbols in game as well? Islamic moon and star perhaps?

First of all, that is a skin. Skins are generally non-canon and can pretty much be anything they want.

I mean hungry nunu references the sesam street, but that doesn't mean that the sesam street has anything to do with the world of lol.

And its not even like VI has 666 standing on her leg. Its just a reference to 666,making a joke about Vis name.

VI is roman numeral for 6. Roman numerals do not have to be in upper case.

I feel like people... don't... know 666. It's not develish unless you're one of those annoying idiots coming to people's door.... The Jehova Witnesses. Seriously. Look the crap up. I'll save you the time and link you the number of the beast. Y'all need to read. It also had meaning prior to religion taking it in. People are just stupid.

So you're cool with her having a demon skin but offended that her name is going down her leg?

You have to try very hard to detour into real-world religions from that picture. 666, while mentioned in the bible, is hardly a symbol (or even heavily weighted concept) in Christianity. If it were a cross, star of david, star and crescent, or any other iconic religious symbol you may have a point. Considering that 666 isn't even demonic according to scholarly christian doctrine, I would be more offended with Rito associating it with a demonic skin than Ritos supposed proselytizing.

VI is how you write 6 in rome math.

A better symbol would be Lucian's "cross". And Azir's symbolised Egyptian cross on his staff.

666 is about as mainstream as it gets when it comes to religious symbols. It's like the cross shaped gravestones, it's originally a religious thing, but it's so baked into modern culture that it loses a lot of that significance.

It's not like she's yelling bible verses as she ults. Runeterra doesn't really have a unified religion, there are sorta cults (Solari, Lunari, Elise's Vilemaw Fan Club), but it's not a big part of the narrative. It's not meant to establish any kind of religion in game, it's just an easy pun to make with her name and the skin's theme.

The ironich thing about this? Any true believer should know that the religious symbol is actually 616.

The 666 is an often made "modern" mistake that was caused by a couple centuries old copy error in the Bible.

that says Vi, not roman numerals for 6
