Vlad resurrected Sion?

I was watching the Sion reveal trailer and noticed the central figure looked familiar. At first I thought it was maybe Le Blanc, but the attire didn't match up. Inspecting more closely, it looks like the figure is Vlad.

Vlad has the power to bring back the dead? I thought he was a more blood control-y kind of fellow, more than a necromancer. Is it supposed to be Vlad? Thoughts?

Vlad, being a Hemomancer, was probably called to open the crypt with jarvan's blood.

well if you think about it, it makes sense because first of all vlad is noxian and second why would he not use this as an opportunity to practice his craft as it says in his lore.

Just never knew he could manipulate corpses. If it were like controlled the bloods in their veins and use them like a puppet that'd make sense. But here he gave Sion new life.

Definitely wouldn't mind hearing more about this from the lore team who have claimed to have turned over a new leaf.

The ritual Vlad leads is the culmination of many arcane designs combining the resources and knowledge of Swain (and by extension Darkwill), the Black Rose, and his own blood magic.

Vlad technically isn't raising Sion from the dead again so much as conducting the blood sacrifices necessary to rekindle Sion's mind.

Speaking of Vlad... is he in for any visual or audio updates? You have to admit that he's not really a serious character. By itself that's not bad, but Vlad is really just one big blood joke with ice-cream hair.

Eventually, though something beyond a TU is probably a ways out. While I enjoy good/trolly puns quite a bit, it probably shouldn't be all you get to experience of a character. Unless it's a Punomancer.

Sort of agreed. I'd like for them to exist in one form or another, at least, but I also would like to see Vlad somewhat sombered up.

Personaly i can think of two ways.

First - make a relaunch with a traditional skin where he can have his old puns with new ones.

Second - when /j is typed he can try to think of a joke and be like "A joke? Ok heres one ... Go ahead, be negative. You'll be just my type." and no one laughs. The same can be applied with the other puns.

Please don't take away a fun part of a character. He's funny. His puns are terrible, and that's enjoyable. I like that the League isn't full on grimdark, brooding, "serious" champions. They're dull. How many people love Mundo compared to Yasuo? How many more people enjoy Gentleman Cho'Gath and Brolaf to Gatekeeper Galio?

Blood Lord is actually the only Legendary I dislike more than the base, considering it removes part of the fun of the character and makes him a Final Fantasy villain wannabe.

Not saying that they should remove the puns, but it's literally the only thing Vlad has right now. A character is more than jokes, ask new Sion. He's still got some Ahnold, and he's a far deeper character than before.

That wasn't obvious for me. I didn't even knew those were people. Who are Thorn and Petal? Apparently they came from the JoJ, which is not only removed from the website but has debatable canon.

I wanted to make a thread for this but here goes. The context of judgments and JoJs aren't canon, and are hard to access. For both old and new fans, please retell the events of Kalamanda, Ionia vs. Noxus, etc. in a way new fans can understand without having to dig through wikis and asking old fans.
