Is there a Story yet to League or is it just the random biographies of champions?

Is there a real significant story like WoW to this game?

Well... There are short stories like "The Reckoning" (from Burning Tides event), Shadow and Fortune (from Harrowing ""event"" 2015), The Bird and the Branch, and Bloodlines and shorter stories in few champs.

But League of Legends world isn't as refined as WoW's one (there isn't even a world map or a official chronology of the most important events of Runaterra -_- ).

Originally the League of Legends was an actual thing in-universe. But it was so limiting from a storytelling perspective that Riot retconned it.

Now, as everyone has said, it's mostly bios and events.

Also, with the removal of the League from the lore, several bios are non-canon because they're directly connected to it.

So, first thing to do when delving into League Lore: do away with "Main story."

This is an open world. Because they keep adding new champions, they can't have a singular story without it being an entire world event going on.

What League has is several stories that occur because each region or area of the world has its own happenings. If I was to die today, the world will keep moving, regardless if my personal story has ended or not.

Now, there are several significant stories which can not only dictate the fate of a few of the champions, but also of the entire area they reside "Bloodlines" is pretty much Shurima's ongoing story.

Bilgewater has its own storyline going on which currently surrounds Miss Fortune.

For League to have a central story, it would have to make every single region, story, and character converge in one way or another. And before someone comes in to tell you "Well, we did at one point," and mention a retcon, the IOW was retconned because it was a plot device to rationalize the game. For the time it was good, but when it comes to telling a story with a developing world, it did not work. It did not work because it was crafted for a game that didn't expect to make it as far as it did.

League's story is still growing and evolving, and we will have plenty of stories which branch out in different directions which flesh out the world. There are many dangers which threatens the world, but just because you've witnessed or are aware of one does not mean you are always aware of the others.

There is no main story, because it's a functional fiction world. Just like in our real world there are no main characters, there are events and different stories at different places.

Thats how the lore is being told, by events that happen throughout the world of runeterra.

Think of it as a comic book universe like DC or Marvel, rather than a Game of Thrones, or Lord of the Rings.

Somewhere in between. There are the bios and about 4 or so short story event things that expand and develop a few champions stories. Of those Burning Tides was the best so far so maybe give that a look.

Okay, but like even if there isn't a Game of Thrones sort of story, and even if we compare it to our real world how there are no main characters, is there some place where there is some history? The bios don't really tell anything about the lands themselves, only about the champions and their cities. Wasn't like Noxus attacking places? Did they wreck or take over something? What about Gangplank and Misfortune, do they have some history? Stuff like that, you know, to connect to a character rather than just playing a character based on the stats and how much damage it does.

I think there will eventually be a main story. It will just be a really damn long time from now.

I think there actually can't be a main storyline in League of Legends, because of the differencies of the characters. You can't tell a story about Aurelion Sol fighting the Void, but with, let's say, Miss Fortune in it and still call both champions, because her influence is meaningless in comparison to a nigh godlike, celestial entity.

Yes there are quite a few story events that happeend , also many events of the journal of justice are still canon in the new lore

There used to be but that was over 3 years ago?

Now its just random bios and a few shorts once a year (which are fantastic dont get me wrong but it is by no means a story for the game.)
