The following is from the Vastaya "discovery" page:
"Unbeknownst to the civilized world, strange and exotic creatures bearing resemblance to both man and beast - a historic encounter, to be sure."
Riot could at least hire a copy editor to review these things.

"Unbeknownst to the civilized world, strange and exotic creatures bearing resemblance to both man and beast..." <- (this is the important part)
"Oh btw this is a historic encounter." <- (is this really that important?)
So then where is the conclusion to the first question, the arguably more important of the two. The second part is just reconfirming things that were already stated in the first part. It's just bad writing and bad English.

I guess you don't even know what a newspapers is like, let alone newspapers that are 200 years old.

You should have referenced that sooner if you were actually talking about historical context instead of attacking OP outright. The reference is too far away for most people to catch and so you get instances like this where people question it.
