We know that the ancient Watchers were essentially the highest level and most intelligent of the Void Creatures and in the latest cinematic we saw a creature who is probably a watcher share a resemblance to Vel'Koz. If this is so then is Vel'Koz able to grant people powers and create new Iceborn?
A Rioter just confirmed that he is NOT a Watcher
Both Vel'Koz and the creature in the short are not Watchers. Apparently the Watchers are very significantly larger and frightening.
Vel'Koz may be a high ranking Voidborn given his intelligence and terrifying power but he is not a Watcher or the creature in the cinematic.
Rioters have stressed that Watchers are BIG... possibly cosmic level big.
It does however raise the question as to why Ryze found a Voidborn underneath all that ice.... maybe a void rift was open in the Freljord at some point....
