Yorick Skin Ideas

I play tons of Yorick, and just wanted to share some skin concepts for him.

Elderwood Yorick

  • Cloak is a shroud of falling fog and autumn leaves
  • W, ghouls, and Maiden are all constructs made of roots and faerie fire
  • E is a splash of leaves and faerie fire
  • Overall, particle effects are changed to a rich amber color
  • Can you even imagine how cool his voice would sound with wooden creaking and some reverb oh myyyyyy

Raven Wrath Yorick

  • This skin sees Yorick as a Noxian Battlemage/Necromancer/Thaumaturge.
  • "Service to the empire does not end with your death"
  • Red and black particle effects, in line with Swain
  • Cloak of raven's feathers (again, to emulate Swain)
  • Replace stone bracers and boots with heavy Noxian warplate
  • His ghouls could wear little noxian helmets <3
  • Shovel could be tweaked to make it slightly more like a poleax/halberd

Battle Boss Yorick

  • This skin sees Yorick fulfilling the "Black Knight" trope seen in many movies and games.
  • Yorick is the tutorial boss of the Arcade World. (Yknow, the one who shows up again as an hidden boss in the untended graves and is somehow like 40 times tougher because they updated his moveset and now he's insufferable)
  • Smooth N Shiny black plate mail w/ twinkly evil pixellated eyes
  • Totally cartoonish, goofy sounds for the ghouls
  • Electric-purple or electric-blue particle effects
  • This is the skin I've put the least though into tbh

Tomb Raiser Yorick

  • This skin sees Yorick as some sort of Shuriman priest.
  • Responsible for resurrection of Risen Fiddlesticks
  • Bronze/white/deep blue color scheme
  • Pharaoic (It's Shurima, so Emperor-ic?) scepter in lieu of a shovel.
  • Little mummy ghouls
  • Sand instead of mist, of course.
  • Ring of arches in place of zombie goop for W. (I'm thinking something that resembles a tiny little topslice of Rome's Coliseum.)

Glad I could get these out of my head, they were taking up too much space Yorick

I still want my Candy King Yorick. I threw this idea around about a year ago, and Riot KateyKhaos liked it!

Imagine if you will:

  • He carries a large spoon. He wears bright yellow and green poofy pants with a red vest on. He's got a candy striped bow tie. He's got those poofy sleeves on his shirt. He wears a little candy crown. His cape is thinly spun cotton candy.
  • His graves are whip cream poofs with gumdrops on them.
  • His little zombies are ginger bread men.
  • The wall of corpses is a barrier made of twizzlers/red licorice.
  • His goo ball is a chocolate he throws, that bursts in a caramel splatter on hit.
  • The Maiden is a gingerbread spectre with thin peppermint arms and a flowing taffy cape.

It would be epic. I want it so bad.

I also really want the Janitor Yorick from the Academy comic series.

Yorick with a snow shovel, snowman mistwalkers & giant snowwoman for the maiden. The passive graves could small snowman. Either made of snow or the mist. His misty cape could be snow falling out of a big backpack. His Q envelopes the shovel with snow. His W could be a wall of snow or ice like an igloo. His E could be him throwing a snowball. The song playing during his ult could be a chill wintery tune. His recall

Why this concept? Because Yorick can one fun skin too.

Elderwood Yorick sounds excellent. I would put that as #1 on my skin wishlist and I'd rush to buy that if it ever went on sale (I never pay full price out of principle).

Raven Wrath Yorick is interesting, but it got me thinking, and it would be cooler just to add some raven particles to Undertaker Yorick to make the skin more unique and grave-yard macabre themed. Riot has some silly rules about pricing and custom particles that might prevent it from happening, even though they could probably reuse Fiddlesticks or Swains crow particles so that they wouldn't need to include a particle artist on the project budget.

Risen Yorick also sounds good but I must keep my #1 vote for Elderwood.

Battle Boss Yorick is a lot like Arcade Yorick which a lot of people have suggested. Here's an Arcade Yorick fan-made concept art for reference. It might sell well but I personally wouldn't consider buying it because I don't enjoy the Battle Boss / Arcade skin lines. https://orig00.deviantart.net/b834/f/2015/216/a/0/arcadeyorick_by_shinyrainbowz-d9470mz.png This concept art is honestly too shovel knight based and a real Arcade Yorick would need to be based on more original content so that they don't get in trouble for plagiarism.

Here's an idea.

Make Arclight Yorick more like his splash, rather than this ultra gold glowing character! The dark feel with dim gold of his splash looks and feels amazing... until you get the skin in game.

You know, I don't think I'd ever buy a skin for him, even though he's my main. I like his base thematic too much. That said I'd like to see Riot make a skin for him that changes my mind.
