Swains new bio sucks ass

Swain has been my go-to champion since probably season 2, I always loved his darker toned abilities and story so obviously when they announced a rework I felt anxiety more than anything. I will say his new kit looks insanely smooth, maybe too smooth to the point where making his numbers suck ass will be the only way to make it fair but that's all besides the point.

I just went to his page to read his new story (very excitedly I might add) and holy smokes... it is so dull... it sounds like something a bad writer wrote and then just right clicked each word to put in a better sounding synonym because they don't know how to spice things up the right way. Super fragmented, super boring, super attempting to be edgy, SUPER LAME. Rework that shit. I liked it better when he was a mysterious badass with insane pain tolerance who came out of the blue, not malfoy's rich spoiled dad.

You really don't seem to be able to understand his new story or look past his looks. -.- He cares only for the well being of his nation and even executed his own parents. Instead of living the cushy life of a nobleborn he took to the battlefield. When Irelia broke his knee and cut off his left arm just to make Noxus back out of Ionia it still didn't stop him. When discharged in disgrace he did not care and instead went right back into looking information. With mind and will he bested a demon, used it to restore his body to what it is now, and single handedly ripped Darkwill from the throne (figurative and literally) and set up a completely new type of government in Noxus. He bolstered Noxus' view of Strength In All forms by forming the Trifarix and thus has Noxus lead by Vision, Might, and Guile. He is Vision, Darius is Might, and Faceless (most likely LeBlanc) is Guile. He is a wise and cunning man who embraces any who pledge themselves to the Noxian Empire, even those like the Black Rose (i.e. LeBlanc) who want him dead.

To each their own, though I haven't read it yet. Whenever it comes to reworks, I think it's always best to view them as an entirely new champion. Swain's not the first champion to get his identity completely warped by a bio change, and he won't be the last.

yeah, gotta agree that the prose is relatively mediocre ("framed by a crimson sky choking on ash" lol okay buddy). but Swain's new design and character are really super, so I don't mind as much. probably has to do with how my expectations for LoL lore are stuck at zero, but that's just me. --fellow season 2 Swain fanatic
