Less excited about Kled after seeing some of his Dialog/Interactions

Okay, I lost my shit when I saw the design for Kled, and even more so after seeing his gameplay. He looked super amazing and fun and full of personality. Then I watched this, and he's actually a racist 'good ol boy'. Like literally. Actually nauseous now. I get that it's fiction, but where I live, I have to deal with people who actually say things like "Yew sure yer 'Merican? Yew look a little Mek-see-can ta me" or "Yew may be 'from 'Merica' but you Ain't 'Merican!" It's not funny to me. It's not a joke. I was going to drop dosh on this champ. I wanted that chocobo knight skin like you wouldn't believe. But I don't want to play a racist, even a 'haha no it's a joke funny right' racist.

Well I know racism, and I feel you. But it is stupid way to think. It is a fiction character who shows racism against fiction characters. It is like, ''oh look, Thresh is sadistic bastard who seeks pure agony for others just because it is fun to do. This game is supportive against torture and murder, I'm not going to play Thresh. ''

Trust me, torture and murder are far worse than racism.

Don't be so sensitive as general LoL community. We make small things really huge in this game, I can't understand. Like Graves' cigarette, who fucking cares please?

I wanna see gay fiction characters in story, I really do. But I never ever thought Riot was homophobic just because they didn't create or clarified a character as gay for 7 years. And I will not. Riot is one of the best companies when it comes to racism and homophobia.

Lastly, there is racism in everywhere, even in fiction universes. It makes it more realistic. There will be killers, drug addicts, smokers, rapists, racists, homophobics in story. Even though they don't show yet.

So, don't make it a huge problem please. (✿◡‿◡)

Oh, a European commenting on a subtly racist American champion. I'm inclined to believe you know racism. Unless you're German, you're more likely to want millions of refugees dead than give them asylum.

On the other hand, I agree that fiction shouldn't be limited by censorship, but if you only knew how the portrayal of this character enables the entitled white majority in America, you might think twice about your opinion on the matter.

Think about the highly conservative parties that are destroying Europe. Then multiply them by a couple million, and give them power over half of a country. That's pretty much the USA.

Think it's not true? Then tell me how the hell Trump got nominated.

I definitely haven't been suffered by racism in the same level as much as some people do. BUT even a single piece of racism is enough to understand of this suffering. Just because I'm not dead already, It doesn't mean I can't feel the disgusting pain in my mind. It immediately creates hatred in your mind that quickly becomes a pale of shadow of theirs. As a turkish dude, only a few finger move can show you how much hated we are from rest of world. Some of them instantly think I'm muslim, arabic, Erdogan supporter, against science, goat fucker.

Every one of them is wrong. I'm not muslim (and you would be surprised how much non muslim turkish people exist, like, a lot), I'm not arabic, I'm highly against Erdogan, I love science, and I'm not fucking beasty. I'm going to be vet. Why should I cause suffering to entities that I'm tended to help? But thanks to stereotypes I still feel pain. I'm still hated by some people without any contact in real life. For this reason, I sometimes hesitate to say I'm turkish, because I don't wanna be hated. Who would wanna be? There are people who wanna fit to society without their joy, for the sake of getting accepted.

Even though I'm not going to cry about it. I have bigger problems, sadly.

So, before you think you're the only one who suffers, doesn't matter how much suffer you do, think about you're also one of people who can afford playing League of Legends.

Note: It may feel like I'm really sensitive on this case, but I'm really not. Race is not a thing when it comes to my ideals. I don't care anyone's race. It is just a message of taking out that playing League of Legends doesn't avoid you from being a victim of racism and its level doesn't make it any less painful when you're alone.

Racism is a big problem in my country. There are a lot people who are racist against kurdish people from turkish people and also correct for exact opposite. I'm neither of any of them. So, it is not my problem. At least not my the biggest problem.

Racism is also a big problem in Europe but it doesn't bother me currently so I will shut up.

If racism is your the biggest problem, I'm glad you have a wonderful life. Because racism shouldn't bother you until you accept those people to your life. Laws are pretty legit for you anyway. (Shortly, racism should never ever be the biggest problem of a person in a developed and developing country. Racism is biggest problem of a person in 3rd world countries. Not in USA, not in Turkey, not in Germany. They have power to destroy it)

In the last, Turkey is not an oppresive country as you think, probably worse than any Europe country in life standards (if you're richer than average, this country is pretty nice actually), but also much better than a lot asian, middle-east and african country. I don't know what media shows you. But be sure, I'm not going to lead this conversation to a retarded one because of how media shows american people to me in a lot sites. Because according to those sites, our country is not the one that cops shoot black people and her law shows so unequal provisoes in racist way.

You should be appalled with yourself. You are attacking racism by being racist towards another group of people and making extremely broad stereotypes about someone based on what country or nation they are from. That is not ok, and you should never be that accusative against someone in a conversation when you are trying to make a point against unfair treatment.

Just in the way that you would strive for people to not make stereotypes about African Americans, you yourself need to stop making stereotypes about other people, including white people and Europeans. Europe is such a largely diverse place, and your assumptions about someone who is European are very narrow minded, as you've seen by trying to pull the "you're racist" on a Turkish gentleman, who, I might add, has been very positively vocal on these boards about all sorts of social issues.

So next time you opt to accuse someone of something, think to yourself "Am I making stereotype assumption?" and stop yourself if you can answer that with "Yes."

Is he someone oppressing another race? Is he actively working to take away the rights of another race? No, he is not. This is a character, designed around the idea of being a crazy old hillbilly. He is not racist, he is not oppressing anyone, he simply wants them TO GET THE HELL OF HIS LAND

I would assume that it's just personal experience and he has the same kind of accent or stereotypical personality or speech patterns as the racists the OP is use to.

Honestly, it isn't the fact that he's racist that's the problem. It's that he's racist, and an awesome character that bothers people. For example, if Corky were this racist, no one would really give a damn. He's not terrible, but he's not great either. This guy, being the next OPNERFPLX champ, I can see why anyone can be disturbed that he has xenophobic tendencies and attitudes.

Maybe he'll really suck, and then we can all calm down a little.
