An Aatrox player’s opinion on the new Varus lore

I actually liked the new Varus lore.

Yes,I know I’m only some bronze scrub or something like that but hear me out here

Despite the new “Varus is gay” hate I actually really liked his new lore and the way it expanded the darkin story.As an player who has been playing since 2013 but only lightly and who really loves playing aatrox it’s been really nice to see the darkin lore finally get it’s due and the new potential characters really excite me. When I was reading the stories a lot of ideas and theory’s went through my head which is what the story intended to do and I honestly can’t wait for the countiuation of the darkin lore and all the potential champions.I may make some theories later on this subject but thanks for reading and have a good day.

The way I'm personally reading into the arguments are one side is respectfully willing to embrace the reboot, opinions on why varies with the individual. While the other side's entire point is "nothing wrong with his old lore, so why change so significantly?" While a much smaller group are just inclined to use the chaos as a means to be toxic.

Honestly either side are perfectly right in their view, frustratingly none are more correct or wrong than the other. Although anyone who seriously believes that this reboot should be converted back is being unreasonable.

I love varus and aatrox both lore wise and gameplay wise. I loved the new varus story.

I'm incredibly excited to see what they do with aatrox since hes the of darkin in league. I'm interested to see how kayle and morg will fit in becausr lets be honest, they were talking about kayle

Varus' lore opened up a lot about the darkin. Especially the fact that he molded his vessel from the bodies of 2 different people. Makes you wonder what about Aatrox, what if he is an amalgamation of the millions of people he murdered during his time, in a quest to create the perfect 'war' vessel. The Darkin brought blood magic to Ruenterra, how did it fall into the hands of humans?

What does your rank have to do w/ your opinion of the story? Bronze or Diamond you have right to your opinion mate. I feel IF you retcon or change something like race/sex there should be a plausible reason built into the story, pandering just seems weak and lazy writing. I mean they could have done the same story w/ one of the hunters being a woman. Although to be honest the whole merging 3 beings doesn't captivate me whatever their sexual orientation.
