Hello everyone. I would like to talk about Infernal Alistar. A long time ago, he had a fire visual on his Q. It looked really nice, but sometime ago, it went away. I was hoping that with this new VU for him, they would bring it back, but it's still gone. Is there a reason for it not being there, or did Riot forget about it?
There are more similar problems like these. Mecha Kha'zix had thruster effects when using E but it disappeared after certain patch. Also steel legion Garen had distinctive heat haze around his sword when he was using E but after his VU patch, it's no longer there. Haunted Maokai had unique particle on his Q (the tombstone) but ever since his VU it is no longer here :(
I think there are more things that I missed but I guess Riot decided to remove those unique particles for more consisty for new players or for people with low-spec PC.
But it is a fact that many people want their unique particles back

Bumping this - there needs to be someone checking the integrity of skins' special particles on a patch-to-patch basis. It really sucks to pay money for a cool effect only to have it arbitrarily removed due to lack of QA.
