In-game Annie vs Origin Trailer

Sooooo....I really enjoyed the origin of Annie but found myself really disappointed at the same time. The problem is there is a disconnect between the Annie we know in-game and the origin story. The origin story for Annie makes her seem sad, upset, lonely even angry...none of these emotions (for me) describe the in-game Annie at all. In-game Annie laughs, bounces around like a evil child or something. She says cute "Come play with me" type things then burns you to death. I don't want to take away any effort by the team of people who created the movie, but I can't help to think the ball was kind of dropped attaching both versions of her. I would have honestly been happier to see something more playful / horror.

Just my two cents...

Wish they would change her VU. It needs to match!

Her new written lore kidna explains why she looks and acts in the way that she does in game... Kinda.

The one problem is they won't because they used her current appearance and voice lines as the base for the new Annie cinematic. Its not me being contrarian for the heck of it or against you, its just what Riot has publicly stated.

Believe me, I do find their statement somewhat empty. As I was expecting at least some new voicelines to go with this whole thing as it seemed much more important with the teasing of the new icons and cinematic.
