About GP's NEW new voice lines...

So I was checking out the latest update on the PBE and apparently Gangplank is going to get another round of voice lines to suit his new "situation." While this doesn't bother me in the slightest for his base skin, I noticed the page also said it would replace his voice lines on every skin as well besides Captain Gangplank.

Wouldn't they be more fitting if they were only on his new base model now? I mean, the rest of his skins don't look like dethroned reaver kings to me anyway. ~~Besides, I don't want to have to select Captain Gangplank just for him to give a jolly "YO HO!" when he fires his Parrrley.~~

I have to agree with that, unless they intend on reworking the other skins again, it makes no sense to replace their lines as well.

I personally think the new models were premature if this was the plan all along.

Honestly by this logic a lot of skins would need their own VOs,I mean rogue admiral garen still talks about demacia.

I endorse an option for yarharhar scurvy dog Gangplank. I really enjoyed that version of Gangplank. Yes, it's more a "storybook pirate" aesthetic rather than what pirates actually looked (look) like, but…what's so wrong with that?

Especially because my way of reconciling the new GP with the old GP is that Old GP was his public persona in the League-containing universe, in which (rather than just becoming Pirate King) he took his time to scope out the international arena and position himself to not only rule Bilgewater but also be a big mover in Valoran generally. If he acts like a goofy Johnny Depp drunken pirate, people underestimate him as some two-bit criminal, just like they underestimate Bilgewater as a den of thieves. I also enjoyed the idea of Miss Fortune in particular being infuriated by how GP used his swagger and goofiness to make people forget that he's a dangerous killer.

I guess what I'm saying is: there might be some room to fuse the two aspects yet. I saw hints of old GP in Burning Tides, even. He'd laugh, he'd joke, he'd eat oranges. He's not just some power-mad robo-tyrant.

that would then make the revenge sounding gp voice unique to his base skin which basically makes it more unique than his real skins which is a problem
