with the splash update, several skins i own have been changed to the point i wish i didn't own them and i had known they would be changed i would have purchased a different skin for the champs in question. are there plans to offer ether refunds or exchanges since the skins that were changed no longer look like the skins i purchased?

Northern Pike 1 votesi did, they said they don't "exchange or swap" merchandise, so i'm trying to get a refund on them since hextech janna and sinful succulence morganna both look like crap now. they went from awesome skins to a poorly drawn cartoons and i really don't like the change.

Northern Pike 1 votesi never said the other one wasn't cartoony, the important word there was "cheesy" the entire art style changed and quite frankly i don't like it at all. its missing a bunch of the stuff that i liked about the skin when i bought it. the background changed, i don't like the new posture, the hair looks worse (the hair wasn't great in the 1st one ether) and i don't care for the face change at all. i didn't ask riot for a refund i just asked them to trade the skin in for her other 920 skin because it looks better than hextech now, and if had known they were gonna change my skins without telling us, i would have just bought the other one back in s4 when i bought hextech.
ImortalLyfe1 votesThey didn't change the skin at all, they changed the splash art. You're literally walking around the rift with the Same Skin. It's not like you've been walking around and your champion is actually the splashart. They also did this to have Unity in all the regions, so all of the regions wouldn't have different splasharts. And actually most of the new splasharts we're getting are more visually pleasing to the eye than the old ones.

Uiraya1 votesRiot identified what they call a "pipeline" that causes trouble for themselves, and decided to fix it. This much is fine.
Part of straightening out this pipeline involves unifying art assets across all territories. This... could be fine. If done well.
Riot then decided to replace all of our good splash arts with shitty versions of nearly everything (there are like three good replacements and the rest are awful) with a vague promise that the worst of them will be updated "sooner". Since we're still waiting on Nidalee splashes from like two years ago this is not going to happen. This is not fine.
The short of it is, Riot decided to shit all over what we paid good money for in order to make things easier on themselves. Also solo queue isn't happening and they're too chickenshit to say it. Buy some RP!
