Ahri's Ears

I asked Riot Support a question and Cles directed me to you guys! So I pose the same question to you...Does Ahri have a second set of ears that are more human-looking? It's weird to imagine the sides of her head just being flat.

As far as Vastayan go Ahri is easily one of the least-animalistic of the bunch.

Afterall her only animal traits are the ears on her head and her tails.

Xayah and Rakan have Bird Wings, Tails, bird Feet and feather Tufts in place of their ears. Wukong is full blown Monkey, Nami is easily 65% fish, and the list goes on.

Considering how much of Ahri is human it wouldn't shock me if she also possessed human ears, but personally I'd imagine it work more similarly to these;

Hi!

I'm not sure if you want to consider this cannon since it's an alternative skin, but... http://www.lolking.net/models?champion=103&skin=1

Dynasty Ahri, with her shorter hair can be seen with a pair of human ears too.

If she's anything like Blake, then yes: https://youtu.be/A6sWqoau_QQ?t=39s

what if her fox ears starts from the place where humans hears should be?

this part would be mostly hidden by her hairs, but it'd mean her ears are bigger than they looks, and it'd make sense since are animal ears if we look at her base skin splash art or her game model you can easily see how her ears are too tiny in proportion to a fox,but just look at her sticker

[sg-ahri-2]

or some fan arts and you see how it'd make sense if her ears would be bigger and placed in a different angle (a bit more down),if we assume the only problem is riot games splash art

Just don’t try to think of cat-girl ears. Or fox-girl in this case. It just leads to insane tangents like this:

A fox has ears that look like they come out the top of their head because their fur makes their heads look more wide than they actually are. The ears are actually on the side of their head and their skull is just less bulbous than a humans.

A foxgirl doesn’t have fur and has a round head. This means that the ears on top of her head have their ear canal going straight into their skull. Which means that their ears are effectively giving themselves a lobotomy. Specifically in the higher motor function and speach centers of their brain. Which means Ahri should be a drooling mute wreck of a being.

Unless there is no ear canal. Which means she would have to have a secondary set of ears. So now we’re left with a 4 eared monster with big flops of exposed flesh and muscles above their head which doesn’t do anything, basically an evolutionary redundancy that should not exist.

Conclusion: foxgirls should not exist.

I hope not

So, long ago they said Ahri is based off of the Gumiho (or Kumiho translate be weird sometimes) but parts community argues that Da Ji makes more sense due to her relation with Wukong. If we continue with the original then I would say its open to possibility but lean towards no, while the latter and I would say she has human ears.

How do you explain her headphones in her arcade skin?

Since neither Rakan and Xayah have two sets of ears and together Ahri and them both have fox ears, it's safe to assume "of course not!"

Assuming she follows the same pattern typically seen of near-human-form hengeyokai (she is based on the concept of a kitsune after all), no she doesn't. This would also be consistent with how most of the other single-formed Vastaya (and Warwick) are portrayed, with the notable exception of Rengar who doesn't appear to have any ears (human or feline).

A good external example of this same style being is Holo the Wise Wolf from the series Spice & Wolf (who is based on the concept of an ōkami (note that the game of the same name borrowed the word, not the other way around)), who in the various anime/manga depictions shows very well the typical blending of the hair with the fur on the ears, with the ears themselves being semi-articulated just like the animal they are based on.
