Jhin login music

I think we need to pick our jaws up and congratulate the Riot music team on another epic theme. One of the better ones I've heard so far, the music ebb and flow perfectly matches his lore and you can feel him rejoice in the beauty of the kills.

Thanks so much for bringing up Jhin's theme :) Writing music for him was a truly exhilarating experience.

This was a truly special project for a truly special champ, and I can't for our players to give him a try very soon.

Thanks for playing!

What gave you the idea to use all that action music in the first 1/3, switch to a calmer piece in the 2/3, and then finish with a mix between the two for the last part?

My thoughts on it which I saw echoed in the YT comments are that it's his lore. The buildup is the hunt and the chase for the kill, ~1:32 is the kill shot/climax, and then the rest is Jhin immersing himself in the beauty of the kill and celebrating the majestic end of another life.

You know, I don't have a good answer for that except "it just felt right". The idea was to juxtapose the sheer violence and aggressiveness of Jhin with his romanticized views on art and death.

Thanks for asking!

I understood what you were going for over all. But the beginning reminded me of manual arms drills(?). Was this intended?

Either way, loved the music. It's competing with Diana's for favorite [Log in] piece!

Best since Lucian's theme song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agEbNaQhmog

I completely agree this is one of best they've ever produced. I only have one minor dislike for it, and it's that they didn't use the gun sounds throughout. The quieter choir/violin portion still sounds amazing, but felt a bit disjointed when spliced into the second half of the song. I almost want two songs for him: one all guns and threatening sounds, and a second emphasizing his dramatic flare.
