So I have realized that the Splash art of Warrior Princess Sivir Sivir does not match up with her in game model. The Splash shows that Sivir has a cross like blade, but in game it appears to be a circle like blade. I just want to know why Riot made it like this, because isn't Splash art supposed to represent the skin?

The thing is that it was a crossblade before Sivir got her visual update and they didn't give her new splash arts when they updated her.

The current splash is from the Chinese server, and there are several champions with the Chinese splash art currently. This is all due to Riots consolidation of splashes so that every Region would not have conflicting splashes with each other. The reason regions had different splashes is because some countries have specific rules in place like; No blood, no bones, etc, or the content rating for your game will be altered, limiting the number of possible players who can access your game in our country. All of the champions who have Chinese splashes still will get updated Splash Art "eventually." and Sivir even more so because she's on the list of champions whom have previously received a VU without any updated art aside from the base. Riot is currently cycling through that list to bring all splashes up-to-date, hence the Sion, Trundle, Tristana, Karma, and more recent Maokai & Sejuani splash updates.
