Top 10 skins I'd like to see for Wukong
For the past few years, Wukong has gotten a skin about every two years and if this theme continues, then Wukong should be expecting a skin this year. As usual, these are based on personal opinion of what I'd like to see and don't reflect the communities opinion. Some of the themes on the list are a general concepts that covers multiple skin lines with similar themes (I.E. Special Forces and Arctic ops). I will be going into detail for each one, but will leave a TL;DR at the bottom and also will go over some things I'd like Riot to avoid with his next skin.

First one on the list more because of what could be done with the skins effects rather then how it would look visually. His Q could have water particles , his decoy could burst like a water balloon when it vanishes, his dash could have him ride a surf board on a wave and his Ult could have a whirlpool effect all with staff that looks like a pool noodle. While it wouldn't make Wukong's appearance much different, those effects would be completely different then anything he's ever gotten with his other skins.
As of now, Wukong has 0 chromas for any of his skins. While some would argue Chromas aren't really skins, they do give some variety and show older skins in a different light. If Pool Party Wukong were a skin that doesn't change much visually yet gives unique effects, the opposite can be said about Chromas. Even chroma's for Wukong's base skin could give him different colors of hair and armor while also each one having a different theme. But seeing as chromas one champ can get chromas for 3 different skins and still get a new skin in the same year, I feel I can't put this any higher on the list since a chroma would only be a variation on a skin that he already has.
On the surface there doesn't seem to be a lot that could be done with this skin, but dig deeper and you will see some really cool stuff for Wukong. For one, if Wukong were to have a white beard to go with the Santa theme, he would likely have white hair which would already stand out above most of his skins. His staff could be the north pole with green and red lights on it. for his Q, the lights would flash on while making a jingling sound, his decoy would vanish in a whirlwind of snow, his cloud could be replaced with a sleigh and Ult would have similar effects as his Q.

One of the themes I'd like Riot to avoid would normaly include Bloodmoon... but, with everything that could be done with this skin I felt it had to be an exception. With the Japanese ink style art the bloodmoon skin has, if Wukong's staff to be replaced with a giant calligraphy brush it would suddenly make for a really amazing skin. Wukong's Q would be able to have ink effects on the brush and could replace the red circle around an enemy champ with red calligraphy. his Decoy would vanish in a whirl of ink, for his dash, Wukong could flip his brush upside down and rid on a trail of ink made by the brush and for his Ult, it could create ink effects while having the same music effects that you hear from Bloodmoon 
and 
's Ults.

This theme would include Cosmic, Dreadnova, Astronaut, Dark Star, possibly Super Galaxy, any skin that involves space in some way. There would be a ton of things that could be done with any of these concepts. Some examples being Dark Star where his Ult is a black hole, Super Galaxy or Dreadnova that replaces his Cloud with a jet pack and Cosmic where it could make his decoy become a constellation at the end of its duration right before vanishing.
- 5. Military Wukong

As of now I feel not a lot of exploration has been done with what can be done with Wukong's staff in the same sense that has been done with Jax's lamp (making it a fishing poll, a giant paper fan, a monks spade, etc.). With this design shown, his staff could have knife blades on both ends and a "stun pack" under it to give it electric particle effects.

These two skins I feel like would be on par with each other, so they are both here. for Officer Wukong his staff could pretty much be like Constable 
's club, but double sided. As for Mafia Wukong, it would be a great excuse to put Wukong in a 3 piece suit with a matching hat :p

This theme covers Battlecast, Program, Cyberpop, pretty much any skin with a robotic/ computer like theme to it. Personally I'm not a fan of the design of Battlecast skins, but with 
's Battlecast Resistance skin, that opens up a whole new theme where Wukong could be with the resistance and be partly converted as well. The arm that normally has his shoulder armor could be completely robotic with a robotic tail as well. Not only that, but the introduction of 
also brought the new Cyberpop skin concept, which could open up its own line of hacker type skins that could be cool to see with Wukong.

Hextech has always been a skin line that I liked but didn't really add much. But with the changes to the skin line starting with Hextech 
, it creates the opportunity for a really amazing looking skin in a sort of steam punk style that not many champs have gotten the chance to be re-imagined with. With Wukong being a champ that has versions in many other games, its a theme that he has not reached him in any media to my knowledge and would be really great as a chance for our Wukong to really stand out.

This concept is one that I really wish I could could just take the image in my head and reproduce it exactly as I see it, because I feel like the potential of this skin would be lost otherwise. by looking at other Arcade skins and how they work, Wukong could get some really cool effects from a rainbow particle effect on the tip of his tail where the yellow/gold would normally be, to knock off Wii remotes on each end of his staff and a red VR like visor as a reference to the red rings around his eyes.
His Q would have pixel debuff in the same vein as arcade 
's effects, his decoy could vanish showing a life counter going down from 2 to 1 like the ones older games had, his could could be pixelated and have a pixel rainbow trail behind and his Ult would have a movement speed buff showing like Sona's E, but also have a point counter like Brand's Ult in his Battle boss skin.
If this skin was a 1820 RP skin, it would also be able to have unique VO which would add even more possibilities. With a version of Wukong existing in multiple games, shows and other media, he would be able to reference himself in all of these, almost breaking the 4th wall. It is by far my favorite concept for a Wukong skin and would love to draw it out to a degree I'd be satisfied with showing off. But for now, only example I can show is Megaman Wukong :L
Things to avoid with Wukong's next skin
> anything inspired by Journey to the West or Asian culture
This is the most important thing to avoid. I joked about it before but in all seriousness, it would feel terrible for him to get another skin with a theme like these. He already has 4 skins that have some tie to Journey to the West in some form and feels like a waste of an opportunity every time. While Radiant Wukong looked amazing and it being the best example of this shouldn't lessen how great that skin is, it's still pretty much "Sun Wukong Wukong" at its heart. If we were to get more Journey to the West themed skins, they would be MUCH better suited for other champs, especially ones without any Asian themed skins. As of now, Wukong feels like he's the poster boy for the Asian community, but there are plenty of us who would love to see a skin for Wukong in a theme that is unique to League of Legends and I can guarantee the Asian market would feel the same.

While these skins would be cool to see, they already really exist in other games. Wukong already feels like a character people put in their games to try and out do each other and as someone who plays these games it would feel bad to have to pick from the same concepts across all these games rather then have skins that are unique to each one. At the very least, wait until Wukong's skin selection is more robust before picking themes other games have done.
> "What if Scenario" skins
This is pretty much skins like Underworld Wukong, where the basic theme is "what if Wukong was from the shadow isles instead of Ionia". These are cool skins to see from time to time, but personally I don't feel there is much there to play around with in terms of an "alternate universe fantasy" like for example Super Galaxy or Arcade can provide.
