I'm... Floored.

This was all amazing to read. I had worries and doubts and small nitpicks, but overall? I loved reading these comics. Thank you so much for creating them.

I kind of just wish there was more... I feel like maybe it would have benefited from having a couple more pages explicitly explore Ashe's mindset and conflicts, but with what pages you had I think you did an amazing job with. Ashe is one of my favorite characters in the game, if not my most favorite, and overall I really like this changes to her so far. She's still mostly the same character, but with much more depth.

So does Ashe believe in destiny or not? Or is she still unsure about it? Does she truly believe in pursuing a goal of a unified Freljord or is she more going along with the flow?

Also, will we get something for Sejuani as well? Or even more Ashe? There's so much to unpack from those two, I would really love to see more of them, or even the Freljord in general.

So, thank you so much for this amazing first series! It makes me wonder what's next in store from you guys...

Hi, Odin! I loved Ashe: Warmother as a whole - I’m certain I’ve said this before but this (+ your other narrative work on the region) has really gotten me invested in the Freljord so thank you again for that!

So my question for you now that Warmother has completed its short run is... Do you find you prefer writing prose or comic scripts? Do you find one easier than the other? Do you think you get different/better feedback from one medium vs the other?

Sorry to go full English major brain on you, but I’m always curious about the preferred mediums of my fellow writers lol.

Any news on the Lux comic?

I think you got a typo in the title, edit it as long as you can ;)

Not sure if this is meant to be a QnA or not but I'm curious about two things.

Has it been fulfilling to finally have the chance at completing this arc and releasing these stories that've been rummaging around in your head for years now?

And what do you think is next for anymore Freljord based stories, anything you could possibly share?

what is it with you rioters literally only responding to lore questions? who cares if a champ is broken, or if loads of people cant get into queue because your launcher has problem right? nooooooo, champion lore is way more important than the game itself [slayer-jinx-unamused] get your priorities straight

I really liked the comic series as a whole, hoping to to get a physical copy once it’s available.

I have a question about how you pick “main characters”. How do you decide who gets to have the spotlight on them whilst moving a plot forward and who gets to be the supporting cast? You have over 140 champions to pick from, developing them all would be a gargantuan task. Do you have a criteria for the champions you choose to focus on, or is it just a case by case basis? I don’t expect all of them to have the same level of development (R.I.P. Rammus), but even if you cut out the obvious supporting cast, there’s still a lot of champions left.

Could you also tell us frost priests are carrying true ice circles on their body, correct? How come that true ice isn't as clear and blue as Ashes bow or Kalkias helmet? And what sginificance does a stag have in freljord? (There is one mentioned in tarics bio in reference and somewhere else I can't remember)

Hi, Thank you for answering the readers' questions. I also have a few questions regarding the comic:

  1. Sejuani, Grena and Yrael believed in and emphasized on destiny or fate a lot. The priests in issue 4 also mentioned that the "accident" will be the fate of Sejuani. Is this a culture in Freljord, or is this a belief that Lissandra tried to infuse into the people to strengthen her rule?

  2. Did Ashe meet her siblings? (The other two siblings did not survive to Spring, but if Ashe was the elder sister, she would have seen them; if not, she may not have seen them)

  3. Continuing the last question, why did they die so easily? Weren't they iceborn? And Grena should have a lot of resources to raise kids compared to other common people (like she took 10 bloodsworn for Ashe).

  4. In the script of issue 3, it is written that Ashe and Sejuani were of the same age, but I still would like to know who is the older one.

  5. Kalkia chased after and cared about Udyr when the Winter's Claw abandoned him because of his abnormal behaviors. When she knew Winter's Claw was in danger because of her mother's unrealistic ambition, she came back to lead the tribe even when she didn't want to. She also allied with a weak and poor tribe to protect and feed them (even though she may be forced by the priests to do so). It seems that she is more sympathetic and kind-hearted than Hejian and Sejuani. Would you say Kalkia's personality and vision were more similar to those of Ashe?

  6. When exactly did Kalkia come back to Winter's Claw (like at what age Sejuani was?)

  7. Was Urkath one of the bloodsworns of Sejuani who appeared in Silence for the Damned?

  8. What was the cause of the scar on Sejuani's face?

Really glad we got to see where the animosity between Ashe and Sejuani started. Were there really no survivors from ashe's original tribe like Helnr

Spideraxe3/22/2019, 6:50:56 PM1 votes

Oh yeah is Sejuani's helmet Kalkia's, because I noticed the similar design except the torn horn, also how did Sejuani get her own true ice weapon

Thank you so much for that amazing comic and the great discussion you had with the lore community about it. Never tired of answering our worldbuilding questions. Anyway, it was a really good ride which both expanded Ashe and Sejuani as lore character. And I would like mention that Sejuani totally stole Ashe's spotlight and I loved her for it every single panel. Can't wait to read your Zed comic and more important to ask TONS of (shadow) magic related question. But this seem so far away for now...
