@Riot can we get the Parethan Shaman as a champ?

Ah, Paretha! Such a charming village. Try the taffa-flower water, it’s got a real kick. A tribal shaman here once told me my soul was “entwined with” the Aspect of the Wanderer. Didn’t peg her for a Targonian… but I suppose looks can be deceiving. Anyway, I stole the Elixir of Uloa from a nearby temple. The temple didn’t survive. Probably shouldn’t show my face in Paretha for a while. Let the heat die down, if you know what I mean. Ezreal's Field Notes, Paretha

Hey, Riot, idk if this was intentional foreshadowing at a potential champ (probably not) but the idea of a tribal shaman from deep in jungles seems like a really cool idea for a champ to me and I hope you utilize it. It doesn't necessarily need to be this shaman in particular, but just a shaman from the area in general. (Though it would be cool if it WAS this shaman and they ended up having some beef with Ezreal). I know some people on the boards have been asking for another male enchanter so this could be that if you decided to go that route. It would also just be neat to see a champion fully embracing the mesoamerican aesthetic that the jungle/Paretha is going for!

And just for fun, here's some art I found that has that mesoamerican character vibe that came to my mind while reading about Paretha/the shaman.

The concept/ theme is interesting but i don't want it to just be that. If the theme is represented in the kit (spirits/ object possession, old forbidden/ dark magic...etc.) then i'm all for this.

Personally with the recent lore reveal, I believe that the Shaman Ezreal met was in fact Soraka as he called her Targonian, she sort of looked at his fate and she has been mentioned to have travelled to the Eastern Jungles.

However, I think the idea for a Shaman based on mesoamerican culture originating from either the Jungles or the Serpent isles would be a great addition.

This is most likely going to happen sometime in the future since league currently doesn't have a champion with that theme. I personally like it.

To be honest, I have hoped for one shaman for quite a while now, but not like Tabu, the canceled champion, but a mask wielder, a shaman that holds masks wich have the spirits of ancient beings sealed inside, and by wearing them, its able to use their powers, similar to Majora's Mask, or Wakfu/Dofus's Masqueraiders.

I think that a champion made this way could be represented in at least 2 ways (although there are probably many more)

  1. each mask is a voice, and they could make sure that the first line that one mask said upon being equipped is an answer to what the last mask said before being unequipped, creating a new way to handle voicelines in a champion. This is probably gonna be reworked Varus' thing though.

  2. Each mask makes the user change its personality, making sure that everytime we equip a mask, the shaman almost become a different person personality-wise

This will probably never happen, but at least for me, it would be the best kind of shaman we could ever had
