Battlecast: The Nature of the Void
As we all know, the Battlecast line of skins, story tidbits, etc. are from an alternate dimension where
's Glorious Evolution conquered Runeterra. Many of the Champions who were converted were from the Void. Now at first this sounds all fine and dandy right? WRONG! The Void is supposedly a place between dimensions, but not a dimension itself. Where do I get this? Cho'Gath's lore.
There is a place between dimensions, between worlds. To some it is known as the Outside, to others it is the Unknown. To those that truly know, however, it is called the Void.
So this means that there are only three possibilities.
-
There are multiple versions of the exact same voidborn. There are two Vel'Kozes, two Cho'Gaths, etc. Not just members of the same species, but exact duplicates. This could mean that the voidborn are like bees in that their DNA does not vary among members of the same species. I find this highly unlikely, due to the voids rapid evolution.

The Void is not a place between dimensions, but is a dimension itself. This would allow there to be alternate dimension forms of the Void, which would allows one Void's Vel'Koz to travel to our Runeterra, and a separate Void's Vel'Koz to travel to a separate Runeterra.
-
The Battlecast are from the future. Either the voidborn on our Runeterra one day travel to an alternate dimension, or the far more likely an alternate dimension Viktor travel to our Runeterra. Viktor then proceeds to enslave Runeterra, and sends his minions back in time.
The Void is a mysterious place already, and this just makes it more mysterious.
TL;DR: The Battlecast prove that either the void is not a place between dimensions, or that the voidborn have no variation among species, or that the Battlecast come from the future.
needs to be a thing.
