Hello! I am a Jayce main and wanted to bring yo attention something bugging im my mind. Full metal jayce is a 10$ skin and is better old. Everything about the skin js good but the recall animation. This flaw in the skin needs work because their is no 10$ worth in skin without the recall animation
We talk about skin reworks a lot on the team. We do them occasionally, but in general, we prefer to keep moving forward, creating new high quality skin experiences for players. The team is constantly challenging itself to create skins that are more resonant or more impactful, and as a result, we keep raising the quality bar for ourselves. That’s one of the best parts of the job, getting to challenge yourself to do even better next time. The main downside is that this leaves some of our earlier work feeling lower value, even though, at the time, it was the highest value product we’d made. Case in point being Pulsefire Ezreal.
I agree, besides the added effects for the VO, the base animation, and ability effects are the same as classic, which do not warrant a higher price.
There are a lot of skins that this is the case for, and Riot has shown no intention in updating these skins individually (can't really blame them). So until Jayce get's a VU (which they don't do anymore) or a VGU (which he would be in a very long line for) it is unlikely that it will get updated.
