PROJECT: Yasuo was given a special border, older borders were teaked for the newest batch

So why aren't the old star guardian skins getting a border?

Tbf, project had borders already made traditionally for every project skin besides yasuo. He was the only one without as every single other project had one.

Star Guardian hasn't really set any standards right now that "SG should always come with a border" like PROJECT did. Its just 5 out of 10 skins with the border compared to 8 out of 9. If last season's skins+this seasons got borders, there would be argument for SG lux getting one too, but its not like those without borders are out numbered. It was a missed opportunity.

It never was 8/9, it was 5/6 from batch 2. After so much complaints, batch 3 came with 9/9 borders. That in total is 14 separate assets made within 3 releases. If we look at SG, all Project skins to date have been released, that is 9/9 vs 0/5. Enter batch 3 we get 9/9 vs 5/10. And they refuse to add the other skins for this. In total 6(2 for raka) separate assets within their 3 releases.

But why did Yasuo get his border whilst the 5 guardians are left put in the cold? Just because Yasuo mains are more abundant and 50x more vocal does not make us lux/jinx/janna/lulu/poppy mains any less passionate. No one likes favouritism, and right now, we feel like we're being put against 14 other skins.

im guessing the borders are going to be like mission style, which would suck if you can not get all the borders without paying money

For team Ahri maybe. Team Lux doesn't have any borders whatsoever in PBE, Rioter Katey stated they won't be getting any. And at this rate of silence they may well not make it at all.
