Ryze and Bard's dysfunctional relationship (Hopes for the Ryze event)

With a lore event on the horizon for Ryze I have my fingers crossed for there possibly to be a bit of Bard lore in there also. Bard essentially does what Ryze does but only really shows up when someone goofs up and puts the entire world in danger (the old man using the relic as a weapon in Bard's teaser trailer). Ryze has a taunt for bard: "I don't suppose you'd want to get off your magical rear and help me save this world."-

My guess is that just like the old man in the trailer, Bard doesn't help Ryze with the runes because he trusts that Ryze is capable of holding out for his own. Maybe if he was in DIRE need of help then Bard would swoop in and just work his magic. Or maybe hes just a jerk I dunno this is just a guess. I find the whole idea sorta funny. Ryze is putting everything on the line for just one more rune and Bard is just hanging out in another dimension waiting for him to be right on the edge of croaking before bolting in to save him.
