Nobody denies that, but literally every medical term is used improperly on the internet as either the butt of a joke or as a derogatory term. All I'm saying is stop expecting people to stop using their vocabulary the way they do. They aren't going to listen to some random person on the internet telling them to stop.

The very fact that you even kept this conversation going just proves my "label". I think you are the only person to go out of their way to point out that they misused a word in a memes and games post. I could understand if they were outright insulting the group mentioned, but all they did was refer to themselves as one.

The conversation is over, I don't condone what others say, but it doesn't mean that they don't have the right to say it.

It's not about me, it's about saying things like "that's gay" and "that's retarded" It's hurtful to people who identify or are categorized under those labels.

That's a fair point, but people's words still have impacts on others. It's important to consider that. Telling a joke about concentration camps will elicit a negative response from people, shrugging it off saying, "it was just a joke..." does not change that it was inappropriate.

You don't walk around on the street telling racist jokes because it's considered inappropriate. Same thing should be the case with misusing words like "Gay" "Retarded" and "Autistic"
