Kayle and Morgana?

Yo, I saw a video by Jeremy "Gaming Curios", and he said that Kayle and Morgana are getting reworks together in the future. I was thinking about them because I reallly like Morgana, she's just kinda boring and flat. I was asking myself questions and trying to answer them, lore-wise, because it's quite important to me. What's a champion without his lore?

My questions were something like:

Why do they exist? What even are these beings? Where did they come from? How do they help expand the universe of Runeterra? Where are the connections to other champions?

So I came up with something. I like creating stories like that, it's my kind of fanfiction. I'm just asking myself if that could work? Remember, that's just my taste.

Esatar – the flying island, like a moon. The people think of themselves as higher people. They have their own ethic and rules, and act appropriately. (Most important: take, but also give) To fight and live, they use different kinds of magic and weapons. (Energy) Their ''god'' is an enormous mass of energy, which is able to generate life, etc. That energy is the core to the existence of life and being, probably the world. They take energy and create things, create magic and create life, but they also have to give it back. Their existince isn't stable. They always have to give back the same amount they take, no matter what, otherwise you are a sinner. They have a mark on their forhead, and two marks on their shoulder, which only non-sinners get. They can create wings with their magic, but only temporarily. They can also influence their weapons with that.

_Kayle and Morgana were lovers/wifes, Kayle as a skyknight and Morgana as a priestress. Their people had a bad year, with monsters attacking them and not being able to grow many crops. They had to take a lot of energy. Many people were dying and starving, and it was time to give back. Morgana couldn't do that, she was afraid that more people would die. They had to keep, but Kayle and most of the people (high royalty) were against her wish. They HAD to. Morgana was sad. Morgana was weak. She sinned. She created wings, flew away and searched for a different kind of energy, so she could feed her people. She found black magic, but she had to pay a price to use it. She became a demon, one of the devils. After Morgana flew away, Kayle tried to follow her. But she lost her. She swore to the heavens, that she's going to do everything to bring Morgana back, like she was before. _

I would connect Morgana to "the devils" (maybe Darkins?). Kayle could create or join an organization, which wants to fight those devils. Something like that. Siblings fighting is so overused and boring, in my opinion. Also, you shouldn't try to fight people dear to you, try rescuing them.

But that are just my 3 cents, my thoughts and my interpretation.

I dunno why. But the notion that you consider yourself to have 50% more cents than everyone else upset me, lol.

While I like the idea of them living on a floating island I think there are a few points in your version that I don't like.

-Changing Morgana and Kayle from siblings to lovers feels kinda unnecessary,I mean so many people know about them being sisters,so them suddenly being lovers feels kinda wrong,as it would carry some incestious tones in it.

-You talk about how Morgana "sinned" and grew wings,which is kinda confusing.Were they originally human?What sin did morgana commit?How did she grew wings?How did Kayle get her wings?

-Kayle trying to rescue Morgana might feel like the right thing to do,but I feel like it makes Kayle into too much of a goody-two-shoes.Kayle being just,but also unforgiving is in my opinion more interesting and in my opinion core to her character.

-While I like the whole floating-island thing is cool,I wonder how you want to differentiate the faction from others in a meaningful way.I mean their faction shoulnd't be just a footnote in their lore(like Namis),but if Kayle is anything to go by,then their faction would be pretty much "floating demacia"

The thing that made Morgana and Kayle's old lore so great was that Kayle was a well meaning but tyrannical dictator and Morgana was a well meaning freedom fighter who gained power through magic forbidden to her people. Neither are 100% right or wrong in their motives and actions.

And as for their people hating magic users, if we look at the Exiled Morgana skin (Which represents her right after her exile) Her aa is orange but her abilities are purple. So she already used magic, but corrupted it.

AND her wings were destroyed by her people as part of the exile process, not the magic. That's one of the reason's she's so pissed is because her people basically tortured her before her exile.

I feel like the old lore was really interesting and morally ambiguous, so if the could just make it nearly the same but without the league then maybe it could be cool.

Maybe they're Vastya, it's possible, or perhaps they're like swain, humans with Vastyan qualities (now that they're in the lore). Or maybe they really are fallen angels. Perhaps they're immortal beings that fought in the rune wars? who knows, I just came to share this link. [(https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/Udu1MoRE-kayle-and-morgana-potential-reworks)] Not sure if Riot is willing to create completely new lore just based off of two champs alone, some champs just don't fit comfortably in lore (like shaco) but since Riot has done well thus far with lore I believe they'll eventually create something worth the angels.
