As the title says. Examples are things like Tahm Kench being frinds with Aatrox and enimes with every yordle plus Fizz and Fiora being rivals with Lux (I assume because she's a Crownguard), but not Garen. Does anybody know why or can they direct me to a lore site that would know why there are some of these awkward relationships.
Tahm Kench x Yordles was explained in the Q&A, basically Yordles are hard to corrupt or tempt unless they are outcasts like Veigar. TK doesn't like that
Tahm Kench x Aatrox was explained as they both have written their name all over the history of Runeterra, So there may be some level of respect there.

I sadly don't think there is one, we're left to infer why we think "Rivals" don't get along.
i would say fiora is rivals with lux and not garen becuase there around the same age and would interact more where as garen quite a bit older.
In the case of fiora and lux it is most likely because Lux was forced into the military service and doesn't like it,while fiora actually wanted to be a fighter and would have gladly joined the military,but was never given the chance to do so.
