Who is the biggest threat to Runeterra?

I mean you got a bunch of potentially world ending things happening. But 3 seem to jump out. The Darkin, the Void/Frozen Watchers and Mordekaiser.

Nigh-immortal and really pissed off former Ascended. Alien threat from beyond. And a necromancer conqueror who has already taken over the world like twice and currently rules some form of afterlife.

So, who do you think is the biggest danger to the world?

Judging by the scale, the answer is obviously Mordekaiser < Darkin < Void. Mordekaiser was a big warlord ravaging Valoran. The Darkin Wars had influence across Valoran and Shurima. The void is able and wanting to destroy all of Runeterra.

What's also interesting is that Mordekaiser was able to profit from the Darkin Wars. The Darkin themself were created through the war with the void. So in the end, it all falls back to the void.

Who is the biggest threat to Runeterra

Rewrites and removal of lore.

AurelionSol

Runeterra's existance relies on the fact that Sol is still somewhat under Targonian control. All those other problems are just a threat to life on Runeterra, they are not a threat to Runeterra.

I feel like the World Runes deserve a mention. They are basically nukes but anyone who gets their hands on them can use them

The Void.

I love my Boi Morde. Im just not entirely blind to an Extraplanar invasion.

If Morde had his Power Base built on Both sides of the Veil then it would edge Morde into the victorious side. Mordes strength as a Kingdom grows with time.

I guess it depends how you want to see it.

The Void wants everything to fall back into nothingness. No living beings, no Runeterra in general. Mordekaiser wants to build his own kingdom and rule over everyone in the death realm he created himself.

If you consider it worse to be Mordekaiser's slave than to not exist at all, then Mordekaiser is the bigger threat. If you fear to not exist more than being ruled by some gigalomaniac who went full edge by getting resurrected in an iron armor, then the void is worse.

I feel like nothing rivals the Void. When Aurelion Sol looks at it and doesn't like it, that should say something. There are some ancient evils in the Void that swallow planets. This is the kind of thing I could see Mordekaiser stopping his conquering and fighting. Even the Daarkin I could see turning, seeing the Void, and redirecting their attention.

That being said, aside from the Void, I would give my vote to Mordekaiser over the Daarkin. Mordekaiser is just... borderline immortal. When you die twice and still come back swinging, there's just nothing I can think of that could rival him. We don't really know how his necromantic powers match up against the powers of Shurima and Targon, but if it does prove equal then I have no idea how he can be stopped by anything except a big team up by everyone or the Void itself.

I'd say Mordekaiser (in the long run) simply for the following reasons. He is immortal, can die and come back over and over again. Based on lore and also how his new ultimate works in-game it can be assumed that for each soul he captures he gets stronger.

While yes the Void is a more immediate threat, Mordekaiser will only get bigger and bigger. Hell Void creatures can still die. Imagine if Mordekaiser somehow captured soul of a void creature/Ascended/Darkin how much more powerful he would get. And even if those beings defeated him, he would only come back because he has permanent respawn.

It's the fucking poros. They can't be killed. They reside in every corner of Runeterra. I know there is something sinister about those fluffy buggers..

The Biggest threat is probably NasusNasus He Staccs endlessly and can probably use wither on AurelionSol to age him into death. He is a celestial but doesnt mean hes immortal it just means hes one of the first things to be born into the universe like bard.Nasus will just stacc on mordekaiser every time he comes back and for the darkin if you think nasus is bad then infernal nasus is even worse. In the lore Infernal Nasus weighs souls after death meaning after he staccs a darkin he can just get the darkins soul stacc it to and send it to mordekaiser.Nasus will just hit q on kog'ma lore wise and staccs +6 and he will forever grow stronger with every stacc.

sincerly a Nasus main

Why are the aspects and celestials not on this list? They created runeterra and they could easily take it out. Do I think they would? No, but they are one of the biggest threats. Just look at how terrifying Kayle is, a half aspect that isn't even really under the guidance that the other aspects are. Kayle probably doesn't even know the full length of her powers.
