With the rollout of the new base splash art on champions, the paid splash art looks pale in comparison. Does it not make more sense to update all the splashes(those that require an update) for a champion so there is an incentive for player to buy them and also reward players that own the paid skins.
It makes even more sense to focus on the base splash arts first,as those affect more people and in order to own a skin,you'll have to own the champ before. Making the champs themselves more attractive makes automatically all their skins more attractive too.
I think it was also said that skins will come after they updated most of the splash arts in need.
