At the moment, there aren't plans for an update, but it's something we wouldn't be opposed to doing in the future.

I'm guessing this kind of work would be accompanied by a full Ezreal VGU right? whenever that is!

Not necessarily; we've done updates (Dragon Trainer Lulu) without the champion receiving a full VGU. That was a passion project from a Rioter, but we wouldn't put a hard stop on PFE updates because we aren't giving Ezreal a full VGU.

There was an ask riot column yesterday where SUPERCAKES talked about PFE and how he/she thought an update was likely, which is why there's more talk about it today.

I think it would be pretty cool to get some updates to the skin even on a smaller scope

Most likely not soon. Riot has their hands full with a lot of things recently because of preseason.

Riot has a lot of things to work on like (WW rework, Galio rework and more)
