Mapping Out the Multiverse (Fan Theories) Feel free to add!!!

Hey guys! So as a big fan of the lore of League of Legends I always wondered how the skins would truly fit into the lore of the game. I believe its been said multiple times that some skins are just not canon all together and some are alternate versions or alternate futures for the character. I believe the lore explanation for the skins is something along the lines of summoners summoning alternate versions of the champion. So I thought it would be cool to share all our fan theories and creating a fan made multiverse for League of Legends. So to start here are a couple of Universes I thought skins/skin series would fit in that could possibly make sense.

First is what I dubbed the Crisis Universe (since we're doing multiverses I thought that DC reference would be fitting). In this universe the void invasion that has been talked about for however long does come to pass and all things are thrown into chaos. Skins that fit in this universe would be: -Battlecast line + Creator Viktor -Headhunter line -Full Metal line -Special Forces Gangplank + Omega Squad Teemo + Guerilla Tristana -Arctic Ops line -Spirit Guard Udyr -Pulsefire Ezreal -Steel Legion line -Voidborn Fizz -Overlord Malzahar -Harbinger Kassadin -Voidborn Fizz -Mecha line -Eternum Line -Any Skin that makes a living character undead (Ex: Underworld Wukong, Soul reaver Draven) -Augmented Singed -Bioforge Darius

• Tyrant Swain -Justicar line -Super Galaxy Rumble

Im sure there are more but this is what I could think of immediately. I imagined for this universe, since there are so many skins encompassed, the story would have to be split.

The Void Marches Onward:

After many years of prophecy the void and Runeterra finally come close enough together dimensionally for Malzahar to tear open a Void gate. Hideous creatures of all shapes and sizes pour into Runeterra to reduce the world to nothing but rubble. Those who get too close to the Void Gate become consumed by its power and are recreated as voidborn. Malzahar becomes the Overlord of the void creatures and leads the army of ravenous monsters across Runeterra. Kassadin, once a protector of Runeterra is overcome by the whispers of the void, and becomes a Harbinger of destruction.

Birth of the Battlecast:

So for this universe I had imagined that after the void invaded Viktor, due to his apparent obsession with the void, would try to pursue and capture as many voidborn as possible. To do this he enlists the help of 5 champions who he believes could hunt and retrieve the void monsters. He creates the Headhunter armor (the reason I think only Viktor couldve created the Headhunter gear is because of its design and color scheme, silver and red) and gives it to Rengar, Yi, Akali, Caitlyn, and Nidalee. They succeed in slaying Cho'gath, Vel'koz, Kog'maw, and Kha'zix. Completely unaware of Viktors true intentions they accept their pay and leave. Viktor uses his battlecast technology, tested on Urgot, Xerath and Skarner, to reforge Cho'gath, Vel'koz, and Kog'maw. Wanting to retain Kha'zix's evolutionary abilities Viktor uses prototype self repairing and transforming technology and creates Mecha Kha'Zix. After transferring his brain into his new Creator Viktor body, Viktor leads an assault on Piltover. After crushing the city with his new army and slaying Jayce himself Viktor leaves the city and begins his onslaught of the other cities.

The Special Forces Form:

The Institute of War recognizes the threat that the void and Viktor now pose to the world. The Institute recruits those willing into their new Special Forces. A specially crafted army consisting of six branches. The Special Forces Armada, Omega Squad, Arctic Ops, Headhunters, Justicar Branch, and Steel Legion. The largest of the branches is the Special Forces Armada. The first line of defense the SFA consists mainly of hastily trained foot soldiers. The SFA is lead by the Omega Squad, a group of desensitized and hardened veterans, no longer recognizable for who they are. The Arctic Ops operate in the Freljord, combating evil in the frozen tundra. The Headhunters, after realizing what they had done are recruited into the SF and become the black ops assassin squadron of the SF. The Justicar Branch is a small force of once volatile villians manipulated and re-purposed, against their free will they have become soldiers for the SF. Lastly, the Steel Legion, a small force of champions given advanced armor and weapons to help fight the void and avenge their fallen cities.

I dont really feel like making an already long post longer so instead of listing why each skin becomes a reality Im just gonna list some events that pass and you, the reader and piece it together. -Bandle City, and Mount Targon are destroyed -Shurima becomes a land of the void -Demacia is reduced to almost nothing with only a few survivors. -Jayce barely survives and creates a new body -Rammus' and Pantheon's corpses are retrieved and given to Jayce to be rebuilt. -Mecha Kha'Zix is retrieved by Heimerdinger, Ziggs, and Rumble. It is theorized they are reverse engineering him for something. -Viktor creates a small squad of mechanized assassins using his new Eternum technology. -Ezreal escapes an almost lethal encounter with Malzahar -Noxus is almost destroyed, but rebuilt stronger than before. -Many champions are claimed by the shadow isle and re-purposed as slaves to the undead.

After reaching true peace, Runeterra is now always celebrating and chillaxing with a pool party.

The **Urf **Universe: -The April Fools Skins -Urf the Manatee Warwick

In this Universe the gods have graced Runeterra with the birth of Urf the Manatee. Urf is eventually accepted into the League, but before he had a chance to compete he is slain by Warwick. His spirit rises to the heavens and his loss is heavily mourned. Warwick is put into exile and the say Urf died is now refereed to as Urf Day. It becomes a major holiday like snowdown, the harrowing, etc. On Urf day, Urf graces the fields of justice with his power.

The Dargon Universe: -Dargonslayer Skin line

In this universe the void invasion never comes to pass. Although dragons, once on the brink of extinction return with full force. The torment the land, and the people who almost drove them to extinction and Dragonslayers are forced to rise and fight back against the dragons.

Arcade Universe: -Arcade Skins + Final Boss Veigar

In this universe the Institute of War and League of legends do still exist except League of Legends is a videogame used to solve all the worlds conflicts. Chosen gamers dubbed "Champions" go to the institute and log on to the servers, the fight using avatars of their own creation and are referred to as their usernames. In this world there are still other races aside from Humans, but there is no such thing as magic. All league battles are duked out using avatars. This universe is the closest universe to the Prime universe.

Badger Universe: -Badger Teemo

EVERYONE IS BADGER

Prime Universe:

In this universe League of Legends is simply an online game designed by Riot. It stands as the most popular and largest game of the 21st century, with over 12 million players. The game can be so addicting that even players who claim the hate the game will still play it like mindless zombies.
