Why don't champions have all their related lore included in their respective page in the client?

Knowing how much lore and story goes into the creation of each champion made and then going into the client and seeing how much isn't included there is very underwhelming and saddening. While I know that all the lore of each champion is on the League of Legends website, I don't understand why all of it or at least links aren't included in this nice shiny new client we have.

At first it was due to the old client. Now I think it's just easier to read a full story on the website rather than in game.

Including every single piece of lore written about a character in the client would be a TON of work for Riot for little gain. The blurbs in the client are merely intended to give an idea of who the champion is, while the webpage is supposed to show more information.

That being said, it'd be nice to have a link in the client to the champion's Universe page for those interested in reading more about them

If I had to imagine, too much data to store.

I often stick to the wiki for all of a champs information. No offense to the website, but the champion info there is pretty outdated (last time I check, it still showed pre-rework Sejuani, for example). In client info is a bit better, but I always found it odd that it doesn't include things like subclasses.
