Noxian Tabletop RPG Campaign

Hey all. I put together some materials for a portfolio for the narrative writing internship at Riot, but according to their LinkedIn page it got pulled off the site and won't be offered next year. Among them was a rough prototype for a tabletop RPG set in Noxus. Even though I'm still holding my breath to see if they might put it back up on the site, I thought I'd share what I came up with in the meantime.

Miners outside of the Noxian capital demand higher wages and better living condition and have set down their picks and shovels until their demands are met. Exacerbating the strike is a group of opportunist turncoats that aim to turn the conflict into state-wide upheaval. The uprising must be dealt with swiftly, lest Noxus weary itself on civil strife. Swain has dispatched a group of four Noxian champions to deal with the turncoats. With master tactician's motives unclear, it falls to Darius, Katarina, Talon and Draven to slay the enemies of Noxus.

You can check out map page after making an account. Takes like 30 seconds and doesn't need a verified email. Click Join Game on the campaign page to reach the map, and be sure to check the right sidebar for chat history. The journal in the top right of the map page lists champion abilities.

I would be down to actually DM this for an interested party of 4 or 5. Let me know what you think about it!

Wow, you put some work into this. Nice job. I've never played something like this, so I'd be useless, but it's a really cool idea. Did you make those sprites yourself?

I'd love to play a League-themed D&D / Pathfinder campaign, but I just don't have the time.

We will need much more creative writing ability to make an RPG that is actually revolutionary and worth it. I don't think Riot should make an RPG based off their lore. I mean they could. But that would just be practice for an RPG that would be unique and revolutionary. For instance

-A child is born. aka you log into the server. The first person to ever log into the server -In a town aka the map that has spawned because the player was the first to ever log into the server -The child becomes a great swordsman because he trained with a sword that he built. Developing his own blocks, skillshots, and spell combos -The swordsman makes a journey into the unknown woods the woods are unknown because they were just spawned because this player forced them to spawn with certain traits for he was the first player to make it far enough in the randomly spawned map to find these woods -The swordsman finds a legendary chest all players after this player will find something different, or an empty chest, for the swordsman player has already found it. For he created it. For he was the one who forced the engine to spawn it, for he was the first one there -This legendary chest rewards a flute because thousands upon thousands of options are available for what might be in the chest -The swordsman seeks out information on the flute because a flute was spawned in the game. So is a book in the main town. Or a character who knows a tune. Or an existing character, now knows a tune -The swordsman talks to the townsfolk and learns a tune. The swordsman finds a book on a skeleton later in a dungeon which explains how people ritualistically played music on a far away hill. scripting presets are now formed, in conjunction to a faraway hill, because the player found a random force spawned book, which discussed a hill, because he force spawned a flute, because he force spawned a chest, because he force spawned evil woods, because he was the first player there -the swordsman plays his tune, on all hills he finds because the book mentioned a hill -the swordsman gets really good at playing the tune, and his flute because a stat was raised due to playing the flute so much -one day while playing the flute on a hill, which he has now furnished as his own, an underground burial ground opens up. He explores it. now all characters after this player, can have access to not just this area, but the woods as well -the swordsman fights a skeleton boss. -the swordsman gets a better sword aka because he force spawned a random skeleton, out of many possible creatures, and finds a sword, out of many other possible items (but a sword because he is a swordsman, and a good scripted game would do that) -the swordsman is now a legendary swordsman. And a legendary flute player -the swordsman plays his flute on another hill, a hill behind the house he was born in aka the starting town for all starting players that was made because the first player logged into the server -a white horse trots from the woods to magically greet him. because he force spawned it to, out of many possibilities that could have spawned, because he is now good at the flute he also force spawned, and played it at the hill which he also force spawned -he then rides away, on the white horse, with his sword, playing his flute. Known forever as a legendary man. aka a well known and extremely strong player in the game. THAT IS A GAME WE NEED IN THIS 2015 ALMOST 2016 SOCIETY THAT WE LIVE IN.
