Just curious if anybody else noticed the (top middle) and (top left) in the background of the Project: splash art. If so, what does it mean?

I think that the battlecast, mecha, and project skins take place in an alternate reality. Battlecast representing zaun and mecha representing bandle city. There was an event about that a long time ago. But with battlecast vel in the back ground it shows that this futuristic ionia takes place in the same reality as the other two.
