Continuous dissappointment regarding Ekko

Champion Q&A: Ekko, the Boy Who Shattered Time [COMPLETED]

As many of you know already there was a Q & A for Ekko very recently (Link to Q&A above.). I am not sure I speak for the majority but the responses left me exceedingly unsatisfied. I feel like a lot of pety questions were answered, examples being his parents, speculated reasons for his hatred of Piltover, ECT.

The questions were asked multiple times, differently and the same and they were either dodged completely or given half answers to. I find this to be very concerning because, not to say it is lazy; but it seems to me that we are being forced to drop the idea that there is any full on connection to the stories we have been given and it is hammering out the excitement of a big mystery that I am starting to fear wont be a thing simply because the work isn't being put into it.

In light of the topic however, I must ask a simple question, with the information we have been given, as little as it actually is; Where do you see this going now? We know that Vi, Jinx, and Ekko were NOT part of the same gang at all, the numbers, while the topic was avoided almost entirely, seem to have no actual influence on anything. (Mayhaps the district theory about them being from certain areas of the city.) I don't know, to me it seems like a huge lore fire was doused and I'd like to know other opinions on the matter.

I still don't get the point of releasing champion information in a Q&A format but not making a longer biography/lore page for them.

"Reckless, unrefined genius, rebellious. He's a brilliant teenager who tends to bite off more than he can chew and rewind endlessly to get the outcome he desires."

"It's home and he knows the people. Ekko isn't dumb, he knows Zaun is a rough place, but he owns that. Zaun made him strong, taught him to be resourceful and make big things out little. He's starting to envision a different Zaun, a better Zaun, but he doesn't have the complete picture yet as he is a teenager and still has some growing up to do."

"Ekko's always had a distaste for Piltover. Seeing friends and other people leave Zaun for the City of Progress gave him a bit of a chip on his shoulder."

Anything about Ajuna.

These are just what I skimmed that could have made his current lore bio bit have a bit more depth. But hey, I might just be picky because to learn about a champion you have to find a Q&A and browse through it for information, some of which should just be already known. Could also be picky because by the time we do find out anything about a champion, it's stupid minor things like "HIS PARENTS ARE ALIVE" and his best friend who is dead was attacked by a guy who is dead and there's no real connection to anything.

Like, you wait for information and you don't get much connecting him to the game. Why is he going to Summoners Rift? What is his purpose fighting here? Did I miss this stuff? I can see why he would fight on the streets of Zaun or Piltover (maybe), but why get involved with Demacia, Ionia and Noxus? Again, have I missed something that I should have seen in the movie, the short paragraph bio, or that comic?

I disagree. So far Ekko wasn't disappointment for me. They made a decent introduction and we got to know his personality etc. They also hinted on some interesting connections with other champions. This is a start and as long as they plan on following up on it in the future and also release a standard bio, as they said they will, then they are doing it right.

My understanding from Jardens recent slew of posts, is that if they are not being answered now, they may be answered in a future event.

When they get that ball rolling is what we are all waiting on.

You fear that it hammers the excitement of a big mystery,but how can there be a mystery if they answer all these questions?

Of course they dodged many questions,because they want to answer these questions in the future with lore pieces. I know the lore releases have been really scarce and thus there is no big hope that we'll get an answer to these questions soon,but it is pretty obvious that they do plan forward,otherwise they wouldn't drop hints for bigger story lines over and over again.

And I think they actually gave us some valuable hints regarding the connection between Ekko,Jinx and Vi.We know now that they weren't part of the same gang,that Ekko is around 16/17,Ekko does have parents and that he does age rather normally(in fact even a bit faster because of his Z-drive). This busts some theories,which means that we have to create new theories that might be closer to the truth.
