The rivalry between Vlad and Darius

Well something that many people noticed is that Vladimir and Darius are listed as rivals on their champion pages. However there is no real explanation for it.

However now with the new Sion relaunch I think that there might be a connection. On the sion teaser site we see how Vlad reawakens sion(seems to be more of a mind manipulation considering that sion was this way when he got imprisoned) So I think,that maybe Darius hates Vlad because he blames him for what happened to Sion?Thinking that Vlad messed up and is the reason for Sions current state.

Just a theory of mine.

That's possible, but I'm still trying to figure out if Vlad was there for Sion's first resurrection, or for Swain's version. How old are these two men?

It could be very possible that Darius would have a grudge against Vladimir for awakening/brainwashing Sion. To have your childhood hero be brought back and twisted into a monster could be quite devastating. To Vlad's credit, at least Sion isn't just a mindless indiscriminate killing machine anymore.
