In Ahri 's lore, she was fully fox and she found the magic orb from magician man who dying. Then she became half human from fox form and finding way to become fully human. But the Vastaya are an animal who act like human and stand with 2 legs in begin. Then Ahri who was fully fox in begin is not Vastaya.

Or the female fox who turns to half human from dying magician's orb is not current lore anymore? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3pZ7uAHZBA

Retcons are a thing.

Things change sadly with all these stories updates. Like Ahri's lore still mentions of her joining the league. So when that gets updated, there is no guessing if they are going to keep that part of lore or not. They didn't with Warwick and Soraka.

I still consider as a Vastaya. Even though she was a fox at one point, she was transformed into a Vastaya.

You do know they can easily change her lore right?

Whats interesting right now, The new champion Xayah, has a specific taunt to Ahri - "You betray your heritage, Ahri."

Kinda leads to the fact she is Vastaya with this lore update.

Funny though, a person I actually admired for their artwork/animation that I seen often is kinda... Very negative? Seems like you built tons of hate over league and Riot over the time that has passed.

In my opinion vastaya is more of a term for what they are rather than race. Plus, these vastaya only keep their form due to magic, which actually fits right in with ahri who needed souls or magic to stay human. Vastayans of Ionia feed off the land's natural magics and thus retain their form. The institute of war has really perfected magic enough to sometimes give powers to people who have none (e.g. Morgana) thus by joining the institute many vastaya can retain their shape after their service in the league (or rather while they are not battling) and not have to huddle up in ionia. Really ahri's story confirms her to be a vastaya due to how she came to be in the same way as the rest did. Her process just didnt involve any offspring and was just a first in the bloodline type deal. P.S. Look at the markings on Ahri and Xayah's faces. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
