Kennen SFX Update feels like a downgrade

Kennen is my favorite top laner and had some of my favorite SFX in the game. In particular, I loved the loud, snappy pshhhhhhh of his W and the loud sound his stun made.

Since the update, I don't enjoy his sound effects as much. I did a comparison on the PBE before it hit live and it's hard to describe, but his W doesn't really sound "snappy" anymore. Furthermore, when I cast E, the previous sound made me feel really fast and excited. In comparison, updated Kennen's Lighting Rush sounds like a quiet fizzle instead of ball of pure lighting. I think the stun sound sounds less punchy too, which makes it harder to tell when you've actually pulled off a stun. My friend noticed this too.

His updated Q is okay, although I do prefer the older one. All this said, I think the auto attack sound is absolutely an improvement!

Kennen

What was Riot targeting with these changes? Is there any chance for another iteration on this SFX update?

I agree Kennen has been my main throughout the years of league of legends and those sound effects tho… I honestly feel weaker and not as threatening as I used to. But I guess its just riot making changes and keeping things up to date.

Pretty sure part of the audio engine overhaul is normalization of sound effect volumes. Earlier in the season, flash was one of the first to be updated. It was way too loud. Now, the normalized volumes are much lower.
