GreenLore1 votesIt wouldn't surprise me if Vlad is on the list for a visual&gameplay update at this point,which would make him unable to get a skin under normal circumstances(exceptions can still happen if he'd fit a theme too well,like safecracker eve or Pentakill kayle).
Though if he is on said list,then I doubt that he'd be pretty high on it,so I wouldn't expect a big update for him before 2019

The only appropriate time to release a Nunu VGU would be winter, and this winter is already taken.
He is bland right now, but will he be less bland with a VGU? There just isn't that much to his theme. Riot will spend a ton of money to get another Yorick or Urgot where they have to make a champ too strong just so they could see a respectable playrate. Compare to the number of people who would rip out their kidney and sell it to be Sauron (going on a tangent about Mord here) or RODA ROLLA DA and it becomes the choice between an Ahri skin and an Illlaoi skin.

Kayle and Morgana are coming out at the same time and will probably share parts of their teams. I'd be upset if they change Morgana's kit too much, she's fine as an entry level mage/supp. That said you're probably right and I'll be stuck crying bloody tears in the corner while my itemisation and build paths get progressively gimped (rip dft as of most recently). At least Vlad's viable for now I guess. I'm only saying this because I love him but I know I won't have time for League in the years to come.

We've got Warwick in january,despite warwick being a champ who'd be extremely fitting for halloween.

Yes he'll be less bland. Just look at what they did with Sion,who used to be one of the blandest champions in the game.
VGUs aren't just mere model updates,they can overhaul the champion as a whole and change them drastically.

Well even if they come out at the same time they'll still take as much time as 2 VGUs. The same happened with Xayah and Rakan who took more time to do than a single champ.

Sion was a stroke of genius and drew on the gravitas of Swain and LeBlanc and the ravenous thirst of Noxus fans. I'm not saying it can't happen again, but it's not a sure success. Also note well done doesn't imply popular. Reave once did a post about breadth of theme and Nunu doesn't have that.

Honestly I think Eve releasing close to halloween was more of a coincidence. And Irelia will likely be released in march or april,after the chinese new year is already over(if anything,Swain might actually come out around the time of the chinese new year...)
Either way they could easily release Nunu at the end of 2018 and then make Vlad in 2019,so regardless if you agree with me on this or not,it doesn't prevent Nunu from getting a VGU before Vlad.

Roughly translated money not made is like money spent. The opportunity cost of augmenting Nunu's concept is massive if you think of what Riot can do instead.
That said there are only so many ways you can glorify the "child riding a monster" idea. The overall impact and power fantasy is, again, dwarfed by more interesting champions.

Well new champs and VGUs tend to come out 6/7 months after the previous VGU/Champ Warwick came out 6 months after Ryze and Urgot came out 6 months after Warwick Meanwhile Galio came out 6 months after Yorick and Eve came out 7 months after Galio(I think they even said at one point that Eve is taking longer than usual,but I might be misremembering things)
Xayah&Rakan came out 6 months after Ivern(they were done by the Kled&Ivern team together,with one team also doing Ornn,who came out ~12 months after Kled) and Zoe is now coming ~7 months after them Meanwhile Kayn came out 7 months after Camille,who herself came out 7 months after Taliyah.
And Irelia is done by the same team who did Evelynn,meaning that she'll likely come out ~6 months after Eve,which would be in april

There are multiple factors that determine who gets a VGU and who doesn't. I mean Poppy is essentially our dwarven warrior,which really isn't a very exciting theme,yet she was one of the first to get a VGU,simply because how bad her kit and model were. The same would go for Nunu. His theme isn't very exciting,but his,model,kit and character are so bland,that he should get an update anyway.

And in my opinion they're better off giving Nunu a Shen-style update where they up the poly count and fix the worst design fails, update the kit somewhat and leave it there. Save huge-concept designs for champs of magnitude.
