About EZ and Lee models and VUs...

Well, I would like to start by saying: Both champs are in a relatively safe spot, with many players maining them. But their models are awful, really really awful. As I said, both champions are in a healthy place, and I think that that's unlikely to change for quite some time...

But Ez's walk cycle and VO are pure trash, tbh, and surely belong in a museum (yikes), and for Lee, looks like he's straight out of a PS1 game. And since riot stopped with the VUs, I was trying to imagine what could make those two shine again.

Would they need a full VGU? I don't think so, but I would like to know what you guys think.

I agree though it's a matter of priorities, there's a lot other champions who look worse and require love more urgently, namely:

Mordekaiser DrMundo Malphite Evelynn Fiddlesticks Shaco Rammus Nunu Urgot

among several others, so it's not like they won't get their VGU but as you can see, the list is long and until they become one of the worse cases, visually speaking, they will probably not see much work done for them

I do agree, every time I see an in-game Mundo I just cringe real hard.

I've seen reav3 commentaries about the top tier champions for a VGU and everything, and how the Champ Update Team only go for a VGU when they're certain of the direction they'll take for a specific champion, whether or not in tier 1.

The thing is: is there a need for a remodeling of lee's and ez's kit? I mean, warwick's kit has little resemblance to his past one, partially because he had a pretty useless kit and was picked by very few players. But what about champions with high play rates and a big "mainbase"? And what to do when those champs' kits are relatively balanced? Would a full VGU be well received? Would it be worthwhile to do minor kit changes?

That's why I brought this up, because I have been curious for a while about how lee mains and ez mains (and the community in general) would receive such a change.

Uhm well, according to what I've read, Riot tries not to affect a champion TOO much, for example, new warwick plays somewhat similarly to old warwick, you chase, you drain tank and whatnot, the objective is to simply make him more interesting but if a champion already has an interesting kit they'll probably not touch it that much.

I don't play Lee Sin but I think he has a decent amount of depth gameplay wise so when his time is due I'm guessing he'll receive more of a VU and not that much of a VGU barring some number and usability tweaks (stun on his ult needs to go -.-)

Ezreal I do play and I gotta say I love his kit, even his hated W, I'd like it if they kept Ezreal the same and simply gave him a VU as well but according to their posts around here they'll try to amp his explorer theme and W is the prime candidate for change, this won't discourage me from playing Ez by any means though, I'm always excited to see what riot comes up with :P

If you want an example of "good kit, bad art" that's more likely to get an update soon its Morgana. Morgana 's kit is enjoyed by a decent sized playerbase, is pretty good in gamplay balance and skill expression, and has some very outdated art and sound. She's most likely to receive very minor if any changes to her kit when she gets updated, similar to what I would expect from Ezreal or Lee if/when they go onto the VGU list.

They would likely make minor adjustments to their kits and maybe replace 1 ability(in Ezreals case,his W is very likely going to be replaced or drastically altered). In general they only make full VGUs nowadays and not standalone VUs anymore,because pretty much every champ with an outdated model could benefit from a gameplay update,even if its only a very small gameplay update.
