Elise, Vilemaw, and new Shadow Isle Lore

So, with the origin of the Shadow Isles being revealed, i'm really curious about where this leaves Elise , and more importantly Vilemaw. Elise's current lore has her arriving at the isles post-Ruined King....and becoming a cult follower of the "spider-god", and drawing new followers/victims to the isle.

But what is Vilemaw? Maybe a creature that was once locked away by the guardians of the blessed isles, and was released/escaped post-ruined-king? Maybe it is the ruined king, transformed horribly by the spell that transformed the isles. Something else?

I'm very curious about this, because while everything else on the Shadow Isles is related to undeath, Vilemaw and Elise are kind of left out. No mention of them in anything from this batch of lore so far, nor the previous black mist event.

like karthus there are people who get interested into the isles and show up there in search of something. i think elise is one of them too. And of course the black rose is obssessed in the search for eternal life, and possibly sent elise to get some info about it.

you know what i think? i think velmaw is a god corrupted by the dark magic of the shadow isle or at least in my head cannone
