I want the whole world in my hand

So I know I will only be adding my voice into the many of those who want a global map of Runeterra, but I want to see a global map of Runeterra for a different reason than just to see it. I have tried to piece together as many maps and bits of information together as I could possibly find so that I can attempt to host a game of Dungeons and Dragons within this world.

I know the fan powered wiki has many tidbits of helpful information like the lore of the lands and it is pretty up-to-date. I get the general idea of what the world looks like with the map of Piltover trade routes combined with the territory map of the Freljord. I also kind of see outdated references to the older map where all of Runeterra was just a circle and with some islands that can still be incorporated. These combined with all the wonderful backstories and art make the Runeterra seem just developed enough to play in. Being a DM for a campaign within Ionia, exploring the magic lei lines, or being the forward party of a Noxious war band annexing a city, the possibilities are nigh endless.

I know having a map is not the most important part of a D&D campaign, but if nothing else it makes it more fun as the DM to be inspired to make a crazy awesome quest.

So TL;DR I want the world map so I can make a D&D campaign. Thanks for the read

Take this as an opportunity to be creative and design a Runeterra map based on what clues you have. I designed a 3D map of Runeterra last year based on that old circular map, but with more realistic continents. Totally inaccurate now, but it was still fun to make.

Unfortunately foundation of the world aren't set up properly yet. It will take probably years before we get a global map of sorts.

Honestly I am not even sure if we'll ever get a full map of the whole world.

We might get one of Valoran,Ionia and the shuriman continent(not sure if the continent is called shurima or not),but I doubt that we'll get a world map.

Because as long as they leave the retst of the world open,they could introduce new continents when they want to.

I think Shurima is part of Valoran also. It is seperated North and South by a small body of water but is connected by the landbridge where Piltover and Zaun reside. And being that they have the set continents now such as that i think i meant that I want to see the currently created world in a map. Maybe they could draw up the current continents but the rest o the map is just cloud or not drawn in, much like the "world map" in Skyrim or the pokemon franchise.

Actually, GreenLore is correct - there are three continents that have been discussed so far - Valoran, 'the Shuriman Continent', and Ionia. Several continents on Earth have connected points, just as Shurima and Valoran are connected at Zaun/Piltover.

More maps will come, though a world map or globe is probably a loooong ways off - it'd be more honest to say we have no plans to release one at the moment.

Can you elaborate what you mean by when you ask what it's like?

The Medarda Heirloom map (the Piltover one) shows the entire Northern coast of the continent - from Kalamanda to Mudtown. (One could argue that Aurma is part of the continent,and you'd be right, but it's not part of the coast :) )

Idk, it's climate? Culture? Like Valoran seems to be the most advanced of places (Pilt, Zaun,), while Ionia seems to be the most magical and creature diverse.

I'd go with 'harsh but beautiful' then. Awe inspiring in the sort of way that means you might be about to die and no-one will ever find a corpse. Also, 'epic' is another keyword, in the sense of scale.

Climate wise, it obvs. has the largest desert currently known, but outside of that it varies dramatically. Some parts, you'd be lucky to find 3 days in a row without precipitation.

Seems almost cheating to consider Piltover and Zaun so representative of Valoran - as it's the junction between the two. I bet stuffy Piltover scholars argue over which continent they're part of all the time.

Well, the world is pretty small. Though i doubt they will make a world map.
