TY for the Morgana VU but, I am a tad disappointed with Exiled Morgana

Hello, I'm a support main and also a main with currently over 300K mastery points on Morgana on my main yet Unranked account.

I'd like to start by taking this opportunity to thank Riot for 's Visual Update. I'm quite happy with how it is turning out to be and all the splashes look gorgeous but there was a "minor worry" that well.... worried me and it turned into a big disappointment just today. What worried me is that Exiled splashart showed her handling **dark magic. **

Wait? Why is this an issue? She has allways been a Misstress of the black magic! You see, Me and I suspect many other Morgana players expected that with the rework we'd get our only chance to have a Red Q, a bloody W, a reddish E shield and a red chains on her Ult. But my suspicion was confirmed today by RiotMEMEMEMEME stating on Reddit's Morgana Mains that the reason it will keep the base particles is to try to keep parity with what the previous skins had.

With Exiled being one of my favourite skins of hers and not being deserving of what seems to be a simple recolor from a Darkish Purple to Red disappoints me. Exiled is a "low tier skin" (975 RP) but do note there are many good if not awesome skins on this category with recolors, new particles, new and awesome recalls such as River Spirit and Lightsbane .

I'm wondering if and how many people do feel the same about this? Am I making a big deal out of this? I really was hyped to launch some Red Nukes with her Q. Should I have had less expectations? Is it still possible to get red particles on her Exiled skin while she will be on PBE before the official launch in 2 weeks the same way is getting a better looking armor? Please. Exiled Morgana really should get updated VFX considering it's a 975 skin. Even if it's just a shift in shade to the color red, it would really make the skin pop. Having the autos be a different color than the rest of her abilities is just strange...

And before people say it would be out of the price bracket:

Tundra Hunter Warwick, Shadow Evelynn, Infernal Akali, and Enchanted Galio are all 520 RP skins and received major VFX updates.

The quality of Exiled Morgana goes into the dumpster the second anyone casts an ability. It objectively makes the skin looks bad. This isn't worth the 975 RP price tag unless the VFX is changed. The effects clash so terribly with the skin and to keep the red auto attack while not updating her other effects just honestly seems like a slap to the face to anyone who uses the skin.

Tundra Hunter Warwick, Shadow Evelynn, Infernal Akali and Enchanted Galio are 520 RP skins and all of them have received major VFX updates when champions were reworked.

Seeing Exiled Morgana (a 975RP skin) with her only change being red AAs is disappointing as hell. I would really like this skin to look cohesive (no purple since it looks very off with her model). Simple recoloring to red/dark red with (optionally) some gold particles would be a very nice change, while not being demanding or hard to do!

I'm disappointed that she either looks like a succubus or anime girl. I have no idea why riot went that way.

Exiled's particles are purple, not red. It looks rough.

You're definitely not alone. I've seen several threads asking to change the particle effects. And I agree. I love how they reworked her Exiled skin but the spells look terrible. If they don't change them then I'm never going to use that skin again. It's just too jarring. And it's too jarring thanks to how bright they made the purple. That purple is perfect for her original skin but just...bad for Exiled.

I too am a support main and I am just DIGGING Morgana lately so I am so super excited for the release though.

It is definitely disappointing. Of all her skins, I was most interested to see what they would do with Exiled Morgana. It has long needed the vfx color change, and I figured her update would be the perfect opportunity to do this.

As you said, even just changing her effects to red or even yellow would go a long way. It was a 975 skins for goodness sake. The whole "retaining parity with what skins had previously" is bull crap, because as FrostbittnSeeker said, they altered the particles of many other VGUs on even cheaper skins. Why wouldn't they want VGU Exiled to be a vast improvement, as they do with every VGU or even VU?
