Characters who needed this voice update more

I'm probably missing a few. All those characters up there either mention summoners or have a VA completely opposite of their lore personality.

And they update Lee Sin. I guess if we want more VO updates, we need more VA's to be ass-grabbers like Vic Mignogna was...

Change out of cowardice. Because simply being accused is destroying what you built.

I would understand that action if he was proven guilty. But right now, with inconclusive allegations?

Sigh... i sometimes hate big companies...

This wasn't done because it needed an update. It most likely got done due to his original voice actor facing allegations of sexual misconduct.

to be fair, Riot was trapped when it came to the VO. they could of changed the actor like they did, and have people point out the wrongness of it considering he is not guilty yet, OR keep it and have social media people stay in outrage spreading misinformation everywhere (these same people that likely never heard of the game or actor before.)

personally, I dont agree with the move even though I like that there are more lines now. However, it was a decision that led to two different but nonetheless damaging outcomes.

also 4 step cadence, I'm sure jhin is more than safe. such a famed voice actor would have people on him by now if accused of such a thing.

The problem with Lee is that his VA was effectively blacklisted from the industry after sexual harassment accusations. I think after having their own scandal, even though Lee is a "done deal" with a legendary skin, Riot wanted to take the opportunity to cover their tracks by giving Lee an only moderately needed update.

A think varus should be in the first place since he has the biggest rift between in-game VO and in-universe character.

Why don't you educate yourself and see if the sources are true. As of right now it's not looking good for the companies that accused him and workers. Marzgurlz is starting to betray Funimation so she won't get hit by the court stuff, but that's too late.

The fact that other champions needed it more shows that this very likely wasn't a move made as a typical voice update like with Lux or something, they're bending the knee to outrage culture. Funny thing is, I wouldn't have even known this happened because I don't play Lee, but a Youtuber I follow that has been covering this controversy just picked up on it, and once one has picked up on it, the others will soon follow suit, and they have a huge combined reach.

Sorry to say but this is a bad move, removing the VO is going to please people that weren't going to play your game anyways, while it angers people that actually do play your game and might now refuse to spend any more money on RP. And on top of that, the reactions I've seen have been that the vast majority of people didn't even know, nor care that Lee was voiced by Vic, so if you hadn't done anything, this would have very likely blown over without any controversy, or at least such a minuscule one that it wouldn't have done anything. Nobody has even been complaining about this up till now! This is also just creepy, considering that I could at least understand not rehiring Vic, but removing his voice lines? That's some freaky un--personing style stuff....

I'm pretty sure when they made MF's ult skin they gave her a new VO but the MF mains didn't like it and complained so they ended up not going with it. Janna and Sona had the same original voice actress and then Janna had a different one for her legendary skin, I'm personally not a fan of her legendary skin voice, maybe they can bring back the original or get someone new or two new people so they each get their own voice.

If this was done because the VA was Vic... I really don't understand why it's relevant.

Lee Sin's VO was done years ago, and Vic isn't kept on-call, Riot basically never has VAs around.

It would be like if Erin Fitzgerald faced such allegations and Riot did new VOs for Janna Sona despite their voiceovers being done almost a decade ago. It's not a relevant part of any issue going on. It would make sense for companies he's currently working with to drop him (Ex: RT with RWBY) but I don't really see what the need to urgently update such an old piece of work is. It seems irrelevant, since Vic isn't working with Riot as far as we know

Really? While there is so much else to work on they chose lee for some petty reasons.

AGREED!!! Sona and Leblanc still say ''summoner'' but league of legends doesn't exist in runeterra anymore, cmon riot.
